  1. don't be surprised if Mark Williams is not at Richmond either.
  2. Fyfe will be set up for life in WA, money won't be an issue and if Freo try to railroad him the Eagles will welcome a quality midfielder with open arms. He's going nowhere.
  3. Not for me, if he hasn't played at senior AFL level and is a rookie coach he has 2 marks against him. We can't afford to take that chance, and filling in for a senior coach really tells you nothing about his ability to coach. Allan Joyce filled in for Jeansy won a flag but was a bust as a senior coach in his own right.
  4. If you're talking Tyson and Shiel they are both around the same age, Tyson 3 months younger.
  5. Don't know who would want Vickery but don't think GWS need another tall forward anyway even if they loose Cameron. What else have the Tiges got.
  6. Desperation move by GWS to wheel him out now on the back of a rumour. A bit like the whole Scully thing with us, smells of a poorly run club. He's gone....
  7. Yeah, but you reckon Fyfe would want to go? I doubt it.
  8. I think Hogan will be better.
  9. I've heard some rumblings too 'DeeZee', and not just about Cameron. Interesting times ahead for GWS and by extension the AFL.
  10. Have you heard anything on this 'DeeZee' or is it just a feeling you have?
  11. I'm not as big on throwing the kitchen sink at Cameron as most here seem to be. I think success is built on team and committing a big chunk of salary cap to one player is not going to build long term sustainable success. I would rather spread the love.
  12. I reckon they will throw everything at him with Pav coming to the end. Might benefit us and leave Hogan alone if they get him.
  13. Well if you consider the list is anyone that could be available to coach, I wouldn't make much of it.
  14. We've gone through this last week in the Casey v Coburg post I think.
  15. Good call but probably a year or two early, an obvious leader and champion as Roos was throughout his career. Also a very polished media performer.
  16. Forget about it, I hope he gets his 3rd Brownlow; He deserves his place as a triple Brownlow medalist.
  17. I think he would need a lot more than that to take over as CEO of the club, it would be a backward step for the MFC. He would need to have done serious time running a business and have built up the contacts on the business side to make a go of it. I would be more than very surprised if he even wanted to be a CEO of a footy club when he can step back into the media. He doesn't have the runs on the board to run a football business, as a coach he is brilliant.
  18. Nice throw from Jamieson...
  19. I think that's about it...
  20. Against a make up team from GC who can't field a full reserves side, in the NEAFL where Mitchell gets 60+ and Kola....from GC before playing ones got into the 40's before they stopped counting. O'Rourke may or may not be a good get but he's most certainly not worth a 1st rounder at present, he needs to be picking up 30's to 40's to get back in the AFL team then start getting some 20 +'s and a rising star nomination to be worth that I would think.
  21. It may well be Kirk but we haven't heard that here first. It seems pretty obvious that Roos will be around for the transition but there is no chance he will take over as CEO from Jackson. He just doesn't have the credentials for that job.
  22. Different rules in the Dogs GC game today than yesterday. Must be the Sunday rules.
  23. Agree, the lack of good public transport (train) and parking makes it a no go. It's just in a difficult place.
  24. Agree with you about Kelly, be interesting to see if he does stay on and be that player for them. I don't think we need to talk winning trades, there was initial debate and that's fair but now it's on with the game. Tyson is a great get, Kelly and Salem will be good players.
