  1. Me too mate, loved that he got under the skin of a few pies as well.
  2. Agree with all that, but I think the focus must be on hearing the siren. The AFL don't have a clear policy on this after the Saints game in Tassie a while back. It used to be you play to the whistle and that's what McLaughlin said tonight in commentary but obviously that wasn't the case in Tassie and mustn't be the case now as the umpires went to goal review. Didn't think you could goal review a siren. ...and another thing. Thanks AFL for dropping out the umpires mic when they were discussing the issue in the centre. Yep, it's all about being open and honest now Gillon...integrity my a....
  3. You think so?
  4. They've lost their run & carry this year, I can't imagine us giving them the space to get it back.
  5. McCartin is a pure forward.
  6. McCartin has a bit of plugger Lockett about him, with Hogan who has a bit of Carey. Could a forward line work with Plugger and the Duck?
  7. Must be difficult coming on for 20mins then going off for another q or so. Get into it then cool down and out of the action, I think even senior players would have trouble with this and don't think it is an indication of fitness at all.
  8. Yep, if we think the injury reports are a smoke screen these ones would be very interesting to see. I think the FD will let other clubs do their own scouting and we can make up are own as usual on here that may or may not bear any resemblance to the real thing.
  9. I would too, I think Roos will give him the time to develop that part of his game. I hope he can.
  10. I'm not sure he's ever really had the chance of 3 or 4 steps backwards before. He's been a bit of a yoyo, in and out...and not being at the game on Saturday from what I could see a lot of Dahlhauss' possessions came up the ground when he went into the midfield, he didn't hit the scoreboard. Did Jetta have Hunter for a period of time?
  11. It's their problem 'Sassy', let them sort it; or the AFL if they don't like it. I think they do have a culture problem though and the AFL haven't yet been able to correct it even by changing management. It will be a deeper issue if they don't get it sorted and they will struggle to hold their good kids.
  12. I don't know about this 'nut', one of Bennells problems was getting enough ball when he was with us. He seems to be getting a bit now but it has taken him a long time. Jetta has missed a lot of footy, I like that he is tough over the ball and hard to beat. His strength in the air is a bonus, Bennell could take a big grab over a pack but not a strong contested grab. Jetta was picking up a lot of ball at Casey before coming in so lets wait and see what consistent game time does for him.
  13. The victim was apparently the bouncer; how would you read that?
  14. We need to find one first.
  15. Looks like Riley is the next one up.
  16. No need to tag him at the moment, just go where the ball is and he will be there. He needs to expand his game to be more damaging around play and then if he starts racking up and using touches well the opposition will consider him. A bit more experience and hopefully he will start doing what Haneberry is doing.
  17. 2 in that situation won't work, never does. If Ratten doesn't have the people skills he will never make a good senior coach and should stick to what he is doing.
  18. I thought it was against Cross and he does really open himself up for that rule by diving on the ball a bit to much but as you say in the name of consistency Byrnes should have got one as well.
  19. I agree that Jetta is doing a really good job. I think 'master' was a bit harsh with his criticism but there is something there in that the next stage for Jetta is to take the game on a bit more. I'm not at all disappointed with him, I hope he will keep growing from here.
  20. Seems like they are about to get clarity but are not going to like the clarity they get. They really want the clarity that clears them...not going to happen.
  21. Just watched FC and Kennedy the umpires coach said the decision against Dunn was correct. The game is in real trouble him, Campbell and Evans running the umpires.
  22. Even they had to do some time at Casey were as in the past they would have come straight back in.
  23. Sums it up pretty well. I hope he can make it, but it's going to be a big turn around. I guess if anyones up for the challenge its McKenzie.
  24. Was lucky enough to have the same. Impressed he tried hard to remember everyones name at the session, what a great thrill it was to train under Tommy for a night and then have him speak to us as a group afterwards. RIP Tommy
  25. If he could build the tank to show something as a mid then he would be worth it.
