  1. Looks like we're taking 3 & 8 to the draft...
  2. I would try him in the small defender role to see if he can take over from Nev in the longer term.
  3. Makes sense to me that we had a specific target wanting 2 picks in the top 10. Kemp is the logical one.
  4. How are the points looking now ' @Lord Nev'???

I agree 'Chazz', he's got this year or he's a bust. Many already see him as a bust already but I will give him one more year. The time is now or never for Weid...

No one is saying we've got it covered... ...but we need more than Bruce. I think we will go into next season with Fritsch now being a lot more important as a forward. He can step up as he did in the later part of season 2019. We desperately need Weid to take it to the next level though if we are to be a real threat. If he can't then we have to land a quality KPF... We're only playing around the edges with the likes of Bruce or Jenkins.

Bruce is something we already have in Tommy Mac... I can see why we are not interested. We need to find or develop a class option and at the moment that's Weid unless someone else bobs up. It 'aint Bruce or Jenkins
  8. He definitely knows how to hunt the ball, just goes to all the right places to find it when playing through the middle. Runs good lines & that stuff is hard to teach. Setups can be taught over time.
  9. Not now 'Earl'...they aren't the Hawks of old. Frawley and Stratton closer to the end. Hardwick & Sicily good younger players. ...but they don't have the razor sharp kicking they had before, Birchall the last of their great kicks from the back half gone. They may push Burgoyne back but truthfully he's gone at least one season too many. It's a bit of a ragged bunch and Frost only adds to that mix.
  10. TMac would probably get us a 2nd rounder, definitely not a first. I wouldn't think Wright would be worth any more.
  11. Agree with your earlier post on Aish 'Dee'...he was soft at the Lions but had turned that part of his game around to his credit. The word seems to be getting louder on Phillips though..to me he would be what we need on the other wing (Langdon on one), I reckon he can play and knows how to get the ball. This is on limited viewing. What are your thoughts?
  12. If Phillips is on the table we should still go after him...
  13. Love Clayton, great get by the MFC. Didn't think it was his best year to date but... Taking from these 2 posts if we can get the midfield chemistry right, better spread, we get better use of his ball winning talent. I think he will also hit the scoreboard more as he learns when to take his shot & have the confidence to do it.
  14. No, this has Gubby all over it... He's been brought in to shake up the list and he's doing it. Whether it's successful or not time will tell.
  15. With due respect Ellis and Tomlinson are hardly in the same calibre as Tom Lynch. The argument doesn't hold up, anyone with half a brain knew that FA would work in favour of the stronger clubs. A few morsels going to the smaller clubs does not change this...
  16. Hogan was part of that forward line so the answer doesn't carry a lot of weight... Maybe we have another tall forward in mind. ????

Maybe a little on the small side but I get your thinking...haven't seen enough of him to know whether his foot skills are good.
  18. rjay replied to Lord Nev's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why is he perfect for us 'Nev'? He's not a small forward but an undersized mid from what I see...has some skill, nice player but hardly perfect.
  19. Got a bit of Stephenson about him...
  20. What else could they give us?
  21. I think we would have a better idea on the first & second year players ' @DeeSpencer '... Personal opinion is I only see Jordon, Sparrow & Petty as the chances to make it and that's probably not a bad hit rate given where we had the picks. The other kid we haven't seen yet is Nietschke so the jury is out on him until we see some game time.

Fritsch has the 3rd tall role locked down to my thinking... Where does Smith fit?
