    Voting system explained: At the completion of each game, the match committee consisting of the senior coach (Mark Neeld/Neil Craig), plus assistant coaches Jade Rawlings, Brian Royal and Leigh Brown voted using a one to seven ranking system. Seven was the highest a player could receive and one was the lowest. Each player had the opportunity to gain a maximum of 28 votes in each game.

    If Melb get pick 1 we take Boyd no question. As has been mentioned Boyd and Hogan set us up for tall fwds for 10 years plus. Long after Clark and Dawes have retired. You dont get many changes to draft power forwards. All the ones in the AFL are either father sons or low draft picks. You cant say the same about quality mids. J.     A players contract does not expire until 31st of October. This years trade period runs until the 25th October. Therefor all players are contracted during the trade period.

    Yes they walk anytime they want and to who ever they want, but there is no rule to say they cant be traded. Its the fact that why would a club trade for a free agent when they can get them for free.

    Anyone saying we should keep players back in the Casey side just to qualify them for the VFL finals have rocks in there head. The selectors are trying to pick the best side to win a game for the MFC. As much as I like to see Casey do well who cares who qualifies for finals. Its like when local teams stack their twos late in the season to try and win a flag. No one cares who wins the reserves premiership its all about the seniors. Whats the point of winning a twos flag when your ones are [censored]????

    Not quite correct. The Lions took him in the pre season draft before we had a chance to take him as a rookie pick. He was training with Melb and the plan was to use the preseason pick on him but as you said a guy from the desert was picked instead.

    I suppose it all comes down to at what pick Melb said they would take him with?? We passed on pick 76 but Sloan was gone by then???

    Howe has had 10, 13 and 6 disposals the last 3 weeks which includes 2 tackles against nth and 0 against Gee in the wet and 0 against bris. Only 1 goal also. His high leaps have papered over a few cracks in his form this year
