  1. Like most of the Die hards here. Listening to 5AA ( I wonder what AA stands for?) is worse than watching paint dry, grass grow or teeth being pulled. I did it last year and only lasted 10 min. with those brain dead morons. I decided to turn off the "Transistor" and watch lawn Bowls between "Solomon Islands and Cook islands" The most exciting afternoon I've had for yonks.
  2. Even if it was televised at Renmark. Somewhere between Adelaide and F..k knows where. I think i'd rather watch the Aussies getting spanked by the Indians again. I know I'm a glutton for punishment, but am definitely not a masochist.
  3. I have voted with a heavy heart. I think you have left out the D-ROD. I believe he is the Sub or Fringe Midfielder.
  4. You can shove Etihad where the sun don't shine. I'd like to know how many leg injuries we have received at that S**t hole. Based on injuries per game it would be quite an interesting statistic IMO.
  5. WYL D-L & NB You really are showing your age. I remember GB playing before beard, he was pretty average. His beard turned him into a star. Can we have a team of 22 bearded dudes please.
  6. I haven't watched the latest link on concussion. I played a couple of seasons of the now defunct federal league. I have kept in touch with a few guys from the league. I remember these guys getting some horrific head injuries behind play. They are a lot slower these days (about my age) or a bit older. I originally thought it may have been something else that caused their change in awareness. But like you guys, it's the amount of head high tackles that bring on these problems. I think the AFL is correct in trying to rid our game of head high hits, I just wonder if they are going far enough.
  7. Any midfielder that can deliver the ball with some modicum of accuracy into the forward line. Names don't matter, it's the type we need. We also need players that will come for a lot less than they should get, bearing in mind we are broke again! So unless we can get those Foundation Heroes to kick in another $1M don't even think of shopping list.
  8. I thought he looked worried when it happened in the tackle. He was lucky to get his leg out from under his body. I think the club will err on the side of caution to make sure it recovers. I'm sure there is some mental scars left over from his last injury which set him back 2+ years.
  9. The most surprising thing so far, is that all of the new pick ups look like getting games pretty early.
  10. We just have to forget the nickname "Hulk" It's just so Corn ball. What about the "Beast"? It gets us away from a cartoon character and more into the type of attitude we want in a player.
  11. It's good to see the VFL select a squad based on reasonably current form. Not like our AFL that once you are in it is hard to get you out. Let's hope the AFL take a leaf out of VFL's book. Oh and while I'm at it. Please sack Bartlett. he is way older than me, so should be pensioned off.
  12. What's the point, they'll be out of work by the time this gathers momentum.
  13. I have a lump on my foot they call it Morton's Neuroma That's why his name is uppper most in my mind. I have called my lump Cale. It's a lot easier than the medical turn. Also I think Cale was a lump.
  14. I think the Dees membership is like the share market. It's been on the nose since 2007-2008. But is starting to drag itself out of the mud. So maybe we should be barracking louder. GO ASX
  15. Now I'm glad I opened it again. At least we get our minds away from Tanking & Drugs. I just know how much you all love talking about CM
  16. Make it a "C" note and donate at seasons end when requests are made for more Debt Demolition.
  17. Supercoach comments. Cale Morton (midfield) $305,600 There’ll be a few people tempted by the returning West Aussie, who showed he was capable of posting the odd reasonable score at Melbourne. But Morton looks set to begin the year a fair way off the Eagles’ best 22 and could take time to work his way in. At this price, he’s not worth the pick-up. See its not only us. PS . I do apologise for opening this up again. Now remind me again. We got pick 88 for him and we used their pick 88 for??? Thatt's right we didn't use it.
  18. I believe we are putting our best available 34 on the ground first up. After the past 12 months we need runs on the board. We need to impress sponsors and supporters. The other 6 fit players may get a run next week, if needed.
  19. My thoughts exactly, but throw in Hawks and Saints
  20. If anyone is looking for a new career. Apply for an Integrity officer. There will be oo's of them going around, based on the amount of times I have heard that word.
  21. No. Tanking according to what was said today. Occurs only when things are specifically done on match days to deliberately lose games. If you rest players at selection time then that is accepted, because betting doesn't really open for the game until the initial selection has been made. Even moving players around in different positions is classed as player development. Connollys singling out, revolved around his preconceived idea that doing it in advance for a priority pick was against the integrity of the game. I've just been watching Fox Sports all afternoon. INTEGRITY has to be the buzz word in all sports at the moment
  22. Good one! WE got rid of T. $ for nuttin but we got Jesse Hogan for $500k. What a bargain!
  23. Glad you put that in. Do you think we can claim that $550k back on our insurance?
