The thing that has killed us for years, has been the lack of confidence. Have we rid ourselves of the c grade players that caused the problem. I believe we have purged enough of the dead wood. These good young kids only know one thing. Winning is all that matters. We may need 1 experienced mid fielder when Crossy Calls it quits.

With Gawn I believe his knees were giving him trouble this season. I don't think he had any strength to jump at centre bounces. Perhaps some of you insiders can correct me if I'm wrong. He never did a pre season last year and in fact I don't think he has completed a pre season since arriving. He will never carry the mantle of No. 1 until that happens. Spencer is injury prone, and Jamar is starting to get a lot of small old man injuries. The ruck stocks are questionable whilst they aren't 100% fit.

Remember one thing in your teams. The coach loves Bail.

If Grimes is to stay half back then Howe will return to the Forward Line. (Kent will be the sacrifice for Howe) McDonald will pick up the big mobile tall irrespective whether that is FB or CHB I also believe Petracca (HFF) and Brayshaw will line up Round 1. Their bodies are strong and hard. The next 2 months will tell. Things will be made a lot simpler if the co captain role is stripped from Grimes. (Although going by training reports he has lifted his game)

That leadership especially during pre-season by Dunny has been on the go for a couple of years. He was very vocal last year, encouraging players to run, tackle and try harder. I presume he did much the same thing in the inner sanctum of the Gym etc.. The areas us supporters never get a chance to see.

Viney only had one deficiency last season. Kicking was off target, not as as bad as the old man though. Let's hope he has spent a lot of time in the off season trying to correct it.

Mine was a Cooper S but sadly snapped a con rod on my weekly trip back home from sydney. One more to the grave yard. Was replaced by the more sedate Morriss 1100 float on fluid. aarrh pure luxury.

Since 1965 Melbourne supporters have never really supported their team at away venues. Mind you the away venues were crap and only held about 20,000. The legacy of the old VFL days still lingers at Melbourne. I would enjoy the twos back as a curtain raiser. We never get a chance to see how the younger ones are developing. I have more things to do on a weekend than to go to the footy Sat & Sunday.

I don't think Hannath has been a huge loss at this stage. But he he may develop into something. Time will tell.

Petracca, Brayshaw & McCartin are locks. The order depends on who he Saints want the most.

Apart from Jones acting As chairman for the drugs tribunal. Who will be the other members to make up the panel. Surely they must have a lot of sports doping expertise, and be totally unbiased.

A few players saved their careers this year with last chances to get their act together. Bail, Pedersen, Jetta. Perhaps 2015 could be the year Fitzpatrick, Jones (Matt), McKenzie, Spencer, Terlich, Toumpas, Trengove & Tappy if indeed he is picked up as a rookie. If their attitude and fitness has been a problem, then it is fixable, but if it is ability then I'm afraid it's on your way sunshine. There is a few SA boys that could supply us with some trade bait.

It would be great WYL if PJ can weave his magic spell, like he did with ROOSY.

What a load of carp about pickles having a bad year at Casey. Everyone who played for Casey except Gawn had a shocker. Give the guy a fair go. Everyone who ended up being promoted to the seniors didn't perform. It just shows that if Casey plays carp football they bring that with them.
