  1. Women used to love a man (boy) in uniform. It doesn't matter these days. They just don't give a toss.
  2. Three replies from old die hards that only have 145 years between them.Actually I would have had 50 years if not for my employment overseas.
  3. At least a special scarf with 50 years embroided in gold leaf. And a years supply of Panadeine.
  4. I can't see Watts getting early games. He along with Riley & McKenzie have spent most of pre Xmas on light duties.
  5. Hogan 40 Garlett 35 Dawes 20 Watts 20 Petracca 20 Tyson 20 Howe 18 Vince 15 Kent 15 JKH 15 Salem 10 N.jones 10 Gawn 5 Jamar 5 Pedersen 5 253 goals for the year plus a few cameos = say 260 goals + 200 points = 11g 8b. Not great but an improvement.
  6. That's not the Box Hill wong's is it. If so how is the stomach this morning?
  7. As much as I would hate to admit it. A fit loin chop would walk into all teams.
  8. The one that picked Garlett, also picked Yarran and Betts. Obviously a die hard Carlscum journo.
  9. He'll manage provided he gets a chance to read what other journos have written. He can then pick pieces out of the various stories and make it look like his own.
  10. There was about 15 in each group. My guess was that the total distance of each run was about 500m. The first time they did it they had about a 30 sec rest. Then did it again. They then went and did more drills and assembled to do it all over again. It doesn't matter whether he had real opposition. He was out to beat himself. He smashed them. In the time I was there they did this about 3 times ( about 3000m total) a great effort.
  11. Frost can run mark & kick, his best weapon is his long hard kicking. He nails targets very well
  12. Lumumba did stoppage clearance with a group that included Brayshaw, viney. jones, Salem, michie.Lumumba was great at the defensive aspect of stoppages, but viney was so brilliant at getting the ball, whether it was defensive or attacking. They did some drills taking the ball from the defence to the forward line, without the opposition touching the ball. The first few were really good, when someone got the ball, the team mates spread briliantly. As the drill went on the players slackened off. Rawlings called them in just to reinforce that they look a lot better when they spread. Toumpas is quick, but he does have an awkward action, high knee lift. It may suit him, it just looks funny. Brayshaw is a better trainer at this stage than Petracca. ANB looks really good, great tackler. Tommy Mac. Did some great passes coming out of defence to the wing and hit them on the chest. Garland looked slow. Harmed was given a couple of wake up shouts by ROOSY for doing something wrong. I didn't quite catch what it was for, I think it was for not taking the correct option.
  13. Geez BBub,You of all people should know it's easier for us to beat the Filth in Grand Finals than to beat them Q Bday
  14. We can't help but improve. The list appears on paper the strongest and talented we have had for ten years. It's not going to click straight away, but that magical word that most D'Landers hate is depth right over the ground. We are not relying on a handful of players to play every game. If someone goes down injured, suspended, we have equal players ready to step up and take their place. We haven't had that luxury for years.
  15. Sorry I missed getting to todays training. The reports sounded like the best training to date. Looking forward to getting down there on Monday. Last time I went, was when the newbies started and the main group did their run up Anderson street hill. It would be good to see some skills work.
  16. What a change in JKH last season to this season. All burst but no tank, hence was a sub most times. His tank has improved out of site, along with body shape. What a transformation.
  17. Jones will get the nod. Dunn is my selection as VC
  18. When Petracca and Brayshaw were doing short sharp kick to kicks over about 20m. Petracca had magnificent hands and strong. When he grabbed the mark it was 2 hands in front and the ball would nearly burst it with the pressure. No juggle with this guy. I defy anyone to get the ball from him once he gets it.
  19. If he wants $3.5M over 5 years Just front end it and pay him. It's not overs based on the experience of our players.
