I like Daniel as a player and he can do many things well, he has the speed and endurance to run out a full game of footy, he can also take oppenents on with his pace and really break the game up. However, we are all too aware of his limitations with his kicking under pressure. For this reason, I wouldn't mind seeing him utilised in a different way to the small defender role he frequently plays. One would be as a tagger to shut down a dangerous oppenent and bring others into the game using his hands rather than his feet. He has the endurance and a defensive mindset as well as the speed to compete with the likes of an explosive player like a Dangerfield. Or alternatively, have him playing on a wing where he has more of an open ground to run and carry, perhaps giving him time and space to deliver into the forward 50 with a bit more precision. I think he is too good a talent to waste and hope he can cement himself as a best 22 player.

That’s the problem. He misses shots he isn't likely to convert while ignoring team mates in a better position. I'd much rather a 16 disposal 2 goal assist game than a 16 disposal and 2 behinds game.

Although Tom McDonald didn't have a great game, he was giving away approximately 10cm to the resting ruckman. Hard for anyone to defend with good delivery, particularly given that Leuenburger has a pretty decent vertical leap.

Bail burnt his team mates on three seperate occasions to have a shot on goal. I like him as a player but he needs to improve his decision making. Not that he's alone in that area.

Don't know. None of the winners from rounds 1-3 in either "mark of the year" or "goal of the year" have been announced. Last year, the website displayed the winners after each round and even included a percentage of the votes as well. This year, in their infinite wisdom, they have only named the random citizen that has won the weekly prize through the sponsors for voting for the winner.

I don't understand how there could not be clarity of what is and isn't banned. One would assume that Bates would be putting his medical license in jeopordy by overseeing the use of substances not yet approved for humans. Either everything is above board, or there have been some bloody stupid decisions made by the doctor.

I haven't actually seen anything to suggest that these club officials were from North... The only link that I can see that they have to this scandal appears to be the fact they used to employ Bates.

Trengove was directed to pick up a cream at a pharmacy so I highly doubt he would be able to purchase anything over the counter that wasn't approved for human use. Sellar, Gillies and Tapscott are the first 3 out in my opinion. McDonald, Dawes (if fit) and Terlich to come in. I'm sure there will be more changes. Thankfully I'll be working next saturday night, couldn't handle another performance like today with my arrogant essendon mates.

Good young player, his history of hamstring injuries would have to be a concern though.

I'm not arguing that we were killed in the clearances or couldn't get it inside 50. In fact, I'm not trying to use stats prove or disprove how well we have played. All I'm saying is that you can't read stats and gain a full story of how a game has unfolded. An inside 50 could be a drilled/well placed kick from a midfielder onto the [censored] of a leading forward... or it could be a scruber kick/handpass (slightly inside the arc) directly to the opposition resulting in a rebounding attack. An "ineffective disposal" of Jones or Magner out of the centre circle may be a clearance kick under pressure that results in a another stoppage 50 metres towards our goal. Alternatively, an effective disposal could be a kick sideways or backwards that does nothing but waste 3 minutes at the end of a quarter.

Yep, stats don't provide context and rarely tell the full story.
