What are your thoughts on our trade priorities? Anyone else believe that fast spreading midfielders are by far our biggest need?? The facebook pages when i had a go at them said that it was confirmed because he was seen leaving Westpac Centre today (q was). Turns out that rumour was started by another facebook rumours page with - you guessed it - absolutely no evidence other than a bigfooty claim...

Actually Im going to correct my statement. Two trade rumour facebook pages claim that the AFL twitter feed says that he has signed with Collingwood. But when you check it it actually doesnt say that. And it was reported on radio earlier today that Lynch had signed with the Demons! Facebook is going nuts about Lynch and Goddard at the moment.

AFL twitter feed has announced that he will sign with Collingwood tomorrow morning.

Does it mean that a Morton only responds to a superb culture? Does it mean that a Morton just does not respond under a dodgy culture? Does it mean that our Cale might have much more value on the trade market? Does it mean that our Cale might be spurred on to being the player some once thought he could be? Does it mean that Mitch is actually just overachieving and will return to old habits? Does it mean that teams will think they can turn Cale into a similarly hardcore defensive goal sneak?

Make no mistake - our 2013 season starts in the free agency and trade period. Drafting as well. We need to undo a lot of mistakes or miscalculations and neeld will know he needs to get this very right or risk his coaching future.

Word is (well on facebook) that we are chasing Stevens HARD and that he is a major target/priority.

I personally believe Q is a standout player - under-rated like many WA players in Victoria but he is way outside our age bracket and would make no sense unless he has good training and leadership qualities that might improve our culture.

Really? he has been very clear about the need for a second power forward? Where was this said? In the article about us not being interested in Cloke Neeld said the exact opposite - wanting to build a forward 50 of crumbing, pressuring smalls around Clark.

Im convinced the HS just makes these rumours up. A few people I speak to who claim inside knowledge at Carlton are convinced Lynch is still very much weighing up their side as a viable option. Secondly Wellingham's manager said they have had 'very little' interest in him from WA sides and far more from Victorian sides. Hopefully having Neeld and Leigh Brown on our panel might invite some interest from him. he would be an ideal inclusion in our midfield and someone once told me (this may not be true however) that he is mates with Jonesy.
