  1. Yeah I noticed on the interview on DeeTV that he didnt smile much but was very positive about helping the team move up from the bottom and he made a point of calling his team mates his mates. Jobs right...
  2. last I heard we were in negotiations with Bail. he gives me the Sh!ts the last two weeks. No defensive game, silly mistakes and he can kick a good behind this bloke
  3. You dont see many big fellas run and chase down opponents. Good to see. ANyone think he has exceeded Stef Martin?
  4. yeah he looks like a real talent. Ive noticed he doesnt smile much which my wife thinks is a bad sign LOL. Keep him away from his old flatmate so he doesnt get any ideas.
  5. My mates who go for top 8 sides basically think that this level of mediocrity would only be accepted at the MFC. I hope its building to something because its wearing thin.
  6. As for Dunn he is just too slow like many of our players. And Bail gave me the sh!ts today.
  7. Jordie McKenzie struggles to take contested marks - which is annoying considering he seemed to be the option from our backhalf in the third quarter. Jeremy Howe, Spencil, Jetta and, of course, Blease looked good today but otherwise another frustrating game to watch.
  8. I watched Neeld today addressing the team and he looked about as frustrated and bewildered as we were.
  9. Wallsy loves Bailey and because we sacked him he wont let us rest.
  10. Yeah I think Terry is off his mark with that trade. Sylvia will have currancy but he and Clark are probably our only a-graders. Sylvia is one of my favourite players and when he is on you know what he is capable of. I doubt he has a huge impact on the other players leadership wise, but no one is perfect. But two points that should be made. McKenna said yesterday that the last thing is club needs is more young players and draft picks. They are after strong bodies and experienced players. Secondly if you dont think Caddy has potential have a look at what his older brother used to do - all be it at the North Heidelberg. he was a marauder - feared by all. So his younger brother - if he lives up to his potential - could eventually be an asset. And a much needed toughnut. Pick 80? Caddy was a top rounder so your joking... But whether we can come to a trade is the question. BTW - Boak's agreement to stay at Port Adelaide was made on the basis that Matthew Primus stays. Now he is gawn, he's leaving! Also I know that Talia wanted to come to the Demons...
  11. he has been the unsung hero of our season in 2012 .He has developed very well.
  12. Does anyone know if it was marijuana or something more serious?
  13. Look Terry wasnt a d!ck about it and many have been. He is the first to admit he didnt get everything right at Richmond etc. So it wasnt grandstanding as such, more just a look at our picks and then an assessment of what our list could have looked like had we chosen differently. he wasnt as harsh on us as he was on North melb last week apparently. The best part was his suggestions of how we could trade and draft out of our hole but how this season's trade period and drafting is vital. They showed one young bloke they call the 'human highlight' who is a born leader and just gets the ball constantly. Cant remember his name as I was baby sitting so was distracted. So sure, Wallace has a [censored] record but it was just interesting more in terms of what he thought we should do to get out of our problem: Go for Cloke (which surprised me) Trade for Caddy with pick 13 and Moloney or Sylvia plus an agreement that they will not force us to nominate Viney (who he rates as second round) use pick 4 to get Martin or that Human Highlight. Focus on midfielders and runners out of back half.
  14. My thoughts on Gysberts are that he reminded me of Scotty Thompson when he first started playing. Good at getting the contested ball. This season I was disappointed when i saw at Casey that he had not put any muscle or weight on. But I dont know if that is genetics or what. He has had an interupted season and injuries and an honest assessment of today would be that he didnt have an impact on the game - being a game against the bottom side and youngsters. Still Im not even close to willing to give up on him on the basis of one game and a poor and injury-riddled season. ive heard whispers that his work rate has been questioned but I guess at the end of the year we will see.
  15. he wasnt our worst and one thing I like about him is that he always tries to compete. he seems to be really working hard on his game.
  16. More like trying to give him some currency on the trade table.
  17. Spencer was far from our worst and he looks like he is keen to compete. More than some can say.
  18. What I like about Howe is that over the course of the year he has continued to do what he does best - take good contested marks - some amazing ones, but he has also improved the other sides of his game - his disposal and his decision making under pressure. He's a quality player.
  19. He just hates the Dees like Denham and a few others. BTW - its official almost - Primus gawn!!
  20. I thought it was ok in that at times we were able to kick to and hit up the uncontested player. the lack of pressure was telling. The highlights for me for us were the performances of Jones, Green, Sylvia, Howe, McDonald, Grimes, Trengove and Blease. Strauss looks like he can kick too. The low points for me was probably Bail's continual choosing to kick for a goal rather than pass of to other free forwards. You normally dont back yourself when you keep missing and Green was free...
  21. Sometimes you need that to build some confidence - which we havent had all season (hoping that confidence builds some late form).
