Realistically, what are we losing if he goes? A makeshift forward who can't mark and will in any event be surpassed by Hogan soon, all things going well. If he stays, he'll slot back into a defence that is working solidly together and has been for most of the season and completely stuff their chemistry. Makes no sense - if he wasn't an FA I'd be seriously advocating we ship him for a decent mid of the same age.

Anybody else notice how frequently we let in a goal or two or three in the last couple of minutes of a quarter? Not that it would make a difference today, but really need to play them all out to the siren.

You're not, and I don't care either if I cop it from the 'yay for a spray' crowd either. Just think grabbing someone, screaming and gesturing aggressively at them like that is completely unnecessary.

Firstly, he was talking about direction about two weeks ago in a DeeTV interview, but on a different basis to his original comments. Hence, shifting the goalposts. Why would the club keep news like that under wraps, when it puts additional pressure on their player? At what point in a 4-8 season is it really going to be worth a 'feel-good' announcement? Having said that, you are 100% right in saying there's no rush!

Sure keeps things interesting though.

I'm bookmarking this post and will bump it about halfway through next season when Trengove is smashing it.

If Roos has spent half a season, and looks like spending a whole season, gelling the backline without Frawley, why would he all of a sudden go back and fit in? I think he's done himself a disservice. One of the best backs in the league, playing as a forward, not showing himself to the best of his ability for the market. Then again, he's taking handballs from the pack and snapping goals, so maybe he will just stay a permanent forward no matter where he goes.
