  1. And wtf did the rest of that dribble mean??
  2. If he wants 7, someone will probably give it to him. I think it will be similar to the Lance Franklin deal - there's no way Sydney really expect him to play for 9 years and my guess is that they just figure they'll pay him out when he eventually crashes and hope that there's enough left in the salary cap when it eventually happens. I also think that smart clubs are planning for the increase in salary cap that's coming - where they can basically sign someone like Frawley for 'free'.
  3. Stupid quote button not working again. Re the cue in the rack and Scott looking for percentage. That doesn't mean his players gave a stuff when we served up that rubbish in the first half... They had clearly gone to sleep, no matter what their coach said he wanted.
  4. I think he was expressing the opinion that you often post a load of bollocks that he doesn't bother reading.
  5. Even if he could go around again, I just couldn't bring myself to support that arrogant sh!tbag.
  6. Clearly, Nasher. I'm just pointing out that whilst he clearly isn't up to the grade, saying he looked 'completely lost' at AFL level after a couple of games is a bit silly.
  7. Didn't seem any more lost than someone like Dom Barry in his first couple of games. Just sayin'.
  8. By 'you all', I did mean, the OP, Frawley and Watts together...
  9. You clearly don't understand negotiations. His negotiating power is that he can do whatever he likes and there's absolutely nothing we can do about it, so we best keep him happy. 'The best interests of the club' is not negotiating leverage, it is merely a begging, whiny request for him to please be nice to us. Chip has all the cards and the club sensibly recognises this. Issuing ultimatums in this scenario is plainly the silly thing to do.
  10. When you have no negotiating power, you don't go all crazy and demand resolution. That's the surest way to get a big F-off.
  11. Me too! Picket Fence! Serious doubts!!
  12. The question that does spring to mind is WTF you're all doing at the Precinct, of all places...
  13. Nasher - I didn't realise that - I thought he was on the list as coming out of contract this year. My bad. He certainly won't be delisted if he's on contract. By the way, what's with the quote buttons not working?
  14. Ugly. What a numpty - he probably was only going to squeeze out one more year, but it was with a premiership contender. He'll be chopped for sure and they'll go after Chippa in a massive way.
  15. Mike Nolan - Jack Steven isn't a free agent. Within bounds, he can't just up and off to Hawthorn.
  16. Yep, poor old Pickles is done I'd say.
  17. Yeah because Toumpas and Evans are key to keeping us within 186 points of Geelong, old dee.
  18. I'd be spewing if I were Blease, Tapscott, Michie, Clisby, Toumpas or JKH and Barry was getting two weeks in a row in the seniors in front of me. Terrible selection policy.
  19. I think that at some point not 'gifting' games becomes silly when clearly some blokes need a rest. We've hit a major wall and there's absolutely nothing wrong with giving Salem, Viney and others a rest if they need one. That's not dropping people, it's resting them. That gives you the opportunity to bring in Blease, Tapscott etc without obviously 'gifting' them games. In my view, the last few weeks has really shown up the Roos strategy. We're way too tall, and we're leaving guys like JKH and Toumpas to rot at Casey, which is giving them absolutely nothing. Why not recognise their efforts and get them back in as rotation for blokes who are knackered? And as for going in with all of Jamar, Gawn, Garland, Dawes, Frawley, Pedersen, McDonald and Dunn in slippery conditions against a hard running team - puh-leese.
  20. Goes back to what jnrmac said. I love my employer, but if our biggest competitor offered me an extra $30-$40k for example, I'd be out the door before they'd hung up the phone.
  21. Completely agree re Salem v Toumpas, JKH etc. Seems really odd that some stay in and some don't. I'm sure there are reasons. No wonder we are where we are, when our leading goalkickers to date are Dawes (15), Frawley (12), Pederson (11) and Watts (11). By this stage of the season, we could really, really have used something like Clark (32) and Hogan (26), for example.
  22. I don't know, I think a fan having an opinion on an internet forum is different to a coach publicly detailing a player's faults and humiliating them. Do you think they give a rats what HH thinks? How about what Allison thinks?
