  1. Nice Lucifer. This is my preferred 22 - looking forward to Petracca putting selection pressure on the forwards. M Jones unlucky as I thought he showed he has really improved. The majority of that team love the contest and will not be intimidated.
  2. Lets hope his recovery is more like Robbie Gray or Matthew Richardson who both suffered ACLs and came back better than ever!
  3. Agreed. Hope he succeeds but still looks slow and has poor awareness.
  4. Viney was in there most centre bounces, but I was listing our second tier.
  5. Having watched the game again tonight, I noticed in the last quarter our centre bounce players were regularly one or two of Bugg, Kennedy, Oliver, and Harmes. Even with our second string midfielders around the ball, we continued to beat them around the contest. Interestingly, VB Didn't appear to be on the ball for the whole of the last quarter, which puts into context how many possessions he found earlier Great to see from these new/young blokes. Edit - VB. Bloody auto correct
  6. And from what we've seen and heard, they all love the contested ball, and relish laying a tackle. No backward steps from these blokes!!
  7. http://www.sydneyswans.com.au/video/2015-10-30/draft-prospect-darcy-parish Clean hands, not afraid of the contest, nice kick and knows how to find the footy. Could compliment our young midfielders nicely.
  8. If fit I think all three will play given form in the pre-season. The club identified them before trade period started and was prepared to forgo something for each of them. They have attributes we need and the club has identified roles to fulfil.
  9. Mahoney also said part of the GC deal was to swap picks 3 & 6. Suns have offered a contract to Howe. Get stuffed Pies, unless they give us something bloody good we should nominate Suns as our 'preferred' trading club.
  10. Jack speaks about his season on the MFC video page. The video shows some of his best tackles for the year. Would he be the best tackler in the AFL?
  11. SEN just reported he signed a 3 year deal with the Dees.
  12. No wondr we lost by 15 goals each week. I'm going to be sick.
  13. You'd think any pick under #30 would be a win from where he is currently.
  14. The journo's chatting with Harford on SEN said they believe Toumpas will play his footy somewhere else next year. Not sure on what the were basing it on but, just made a passing comment.
  15. I was speaking to Plowman's brother when out last weekend (have a mutual friend) and asked if Lachie was any chance to come to the Dees. He played a straight bat and said he is still contracted with GWS but said there is now way he would come to the Dees. He didn't elaborate too much but did say he' not a fan of Todd Viney.
  16. What a courageous bloke. No wonder he lost so much pace - each step was a painful one. I still remember him chasing down opposition players in his first year. I wouldn't have described him as being explosive but he was in the top 10 quickest players in the team. If his foot recovers, there is no reason why he can't regain his pace.
  17. Watching the replay. Geez Viney was good. His tackling is vicious. Really watched his disposal and it was very neat. Consistently found a man with hand or foot.
  18. This is unbearable. Cant wait until the last quarter!
  19. http://www.goldcoastfc.com.au/video/2014-10-01/2014-highlight-dion-prestia He's not Lewis Jetta but he's got better jets than any of our established mids. Have a look in the last minute of the video. Although an inside mid, his first five steps are pretty quick when he needs.
