  1. I’m keen to hear if KK is doing some decent running in his recovery.
  2. For any locals who can make it I’m interested to know if Petracca and Kolo are in the main group after some minor issues in recent weeks? Have Oliver and Viney joined in? Whose still in the rehab group?
  3. Weids had 24 touches in that game. Not bad for a key forward!
  4. Interesting that Corey Wagner is training with the forwards. They may play him as a high half forward who pushes up the ground and back to goals with his endurance running. Hannan will want to get his body right and play some good footy.
  5. $695. Includes entry to all cricket and footy including finals.
  6. I’m an MCC member and 20 consecutive MFC member. But really the MCC/MFC membership is really an $87 donation as I get no real benefit other than supporting the club financially. Would it make a difference if the MCC/MFC membership was reduced to $50, as a donation as such. I don’t need yet another scarf or membership card that doesn’t gain me entry to games. They could save on this, print of bumper stickers, and postage.
  7. The article is incorrect when it says we kicked 5 goals from 12 scoring shots in the first quarter. We kicked 5.3.
  8. Not his best game yesterday but is sitting 5th in Demonland’s running votes.
  9. Nice work KM. Did Tim Smith train? Cheers
  10. We’ve all read how the team has ranked in league stats over the past 5 weeks. The numbers look great but got me thinking.. how have we actually turned it around? Since we lost to Richmond a few things have changed. 1. Personel. There are 7 different players in the team from Sunday that that didn’t play in our last loss. Viney, McDonald, Smith, Fritsch, Spargo, and Hannan. That’s a significant chunk of the team! 2. Game plan. In the first 5 weeks, our press was far too high. This was evident by watching our defensive structure from level two. Even on the TV you could see how many times we got opened up out the back, and how many one on one contests the opposition had in their forward 50. The coaches addressed this and implemented a better structure behind the ball from round 6. 3. Confidence. The immeasurable stat! You can see players are intent on moving the ball forward and taking the game on knowing they will be supported by their teammates. Enjoy the ride and go Dees!
  11. Much attributed to him playing on the ball where he belongs. 2017 he was tried on the wing and half back.
  12. Tom Browne from On The Couch reported on the show tonight that Melbourne are the front runners for Gaff should he head East.
  13. You may have been right on the day BD. I watched him closely yesterday. A game high 11 tackles, and hit targets off both feet. I think he has his confidence back.
  14. 6. Milkshake 5. McDonald 4. Lever 3. Brayshaw 2. Jones 1. Oliver (with a broken finger)
  15. 6. Oliver 5. T Mac 3.Harmes 2. Salem 1. Lewis
  16. Hard as a cats head. Great game.
  17. Since the JLT this year I reckon we’ve tried to move the ball forward from stoppages where we can. Last year we seemed to try to handball to the back of the stoppage which slowed our play down and often resulted in another handball sideways or backwards.
  18. There is. TAC Cup side versus a VFL team I believe I read.
  19. Can see th mighty G from our place. Dry as a bone this morning.
  20. Good performance against a pretty young side. Really liked Harmes, ANB, Melkshem, Oscar and Salem. Bodes well as our improvement will come from these guys. With Lewis going off early, our hard running and leg speed really stood out. I’d like to see only one of Tyson, Lewis and Vince in the side. Two at max as I think hard running can be a real strength of ours this year.
  21. For those calling for Oscar to be dropped.. He kept Brown to 1 mark for the game. He out marked Brown twice, and hit a target with nearly every kick. He got pinged twice for holding but was not conclusive on the telecast. He looks stronger and more composed. Like the coaching staff, I’m going to back him in. Yet to turn 22, he must be in the top few KPD under that age.
  22. Great news on Viney. That’s a big step.
  23. Saty, was Viney doing any sort of running yesterday? Cheers
