Elijah Taylor (Drafted by Sydney)
Upside is huge but buyer needs to beware. IMO most talented small forward but attitude and other issues need to be addressed

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Both good players but I think Sharp fills our needs more. Rivers would be the more versatile defender but for mine Sharp is an underrated ball user and decision maker. Watched him play seniors after the Championships and he stood out as the best player on the ground. Kick was penetrating off half back and wasn't phased by the greater pressure in the seniors with his decision making. And yes AF he's bigger than Vince and a good athlete at Aquinas College. He wouldn't be as hard at it as Bernie Spoke to someone last night who believes he's unlikely to get to us with the Cats pretty keen. They have been into him all year. He also expects Brissy to take Robertson who he knows Cats have also been monitoring

What to do with what is now Pick 32?
Robertson was a heavy 16 year old before he knuckled down

Taylor Excited About the Draft
Cripps Simon Black, Buddy, Corey, Duncan all top players who have never entertained going home Just like Pav never wanting to leave Freo for SA Not everyone is the same, Jesse's circumstances were ever changing and a lot of it was out of his control

Deven Robertson (Drafted by Brisbane)
You're not missing anything AF, his most outstanding feature is the leadership. Hard to gauge and see in testing or underage level. I see him as a player who will stand up in the big occasion. I don't see him as one whose going produce moments of magic or brilliance that wins games. I see more of a player who will refuse to lay down and will throw their body at anything and make those desperate 1%ers that win games. He'll lift those around him who are the icing on the cake players

Taylor Excited About the Draft
like Nev Jetta?
-
Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
Dean Cox was a terrible kick when he was first taken and debuted. He took a while to work on his kicking
-
Phantom Drafts
Wouldn't pick Pickett in front of Serong or Kemp
-
Nearest the Pin
3. Green/Jackson 11/12. (allowing for Green/Henry bid) Serong/Kemp 28. Sharp/Taylor/Rivers

What to do with Pick 10?
Can't see it unless Sydney or Adelaide spring a couple of surprises
-
What to do with Pick 10?
Yes he would very good ball user, and flourished in the seniors at East Freo after the Championships
-
Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
And who won a ground ball clearance fed off and got the ball quickly on his non preferred straight to a teammate inside 50m Mongrel off the boot but awareness of getting the ball forward as quickly as possible
- Poll: Who do you want with our first two picks?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Had not heard that, I'm aware May and Martin don't get on but not May and Bennell

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
I'm hoping Prodee we hold the pick till draft night, to see who slides, there's always one. I'm certainly not in favour of Pickett at 10. I see picks possibly going 1. Rowell Suns 2. Anderson Suns 3. Jackson Dees 4. Young/Ash GWS 5. Green GWS matching Sydney's bid 6. Flanders Swans 7. Mcasey/Ash/Young Crows 8. Robertson Freo 9. Stephens/Ash/Young Freo 10. Henry Freo matchin Blues bid 11. Kemp/Serong Blues 12. Who do we take from the possible slider if it's Serong Ash or Young there's no question we take them. Stephens whilst outside fills another need as a Gaff type. Kemp I like and I'd take him at this pick but if we're foucussed on others I think the Cats will look at jumping ahead of the Hawks and be open to a live trade, which could be worth looking at. I've seen a fair bit of Elijah Taylor and really rate him, with plenty if upside. I think he, Jeremy Sharp or Trent Rivers could be available at 28. With Sharp the least likely I've seen a fair bit of them all and whilst they are all WA boys, it's where I live so see these boys the most and think they can fill the half back flank or small forward we need and I'd be inclined to target whichever one (position) we don't take at pick 10

SEN Changes
Loved Finey, could be abrupt at times, but was a footy lover and had an interest in lower level footy

SEN Changes
As painful as Dwayne may be, try living in WA not supporting the Eagles and having to listen to any media here. Sweet Jesus, Stalinist Russia and Nazi Germany have nothing on them

What to do with Pick 10?
Hope we hold it, speaking to a few in recruiting and development in WA word is top 6 to 10 in this draft are rated a lot higher than the next 20-25 who they still feel are ahead of next seasons batch. I think the needs basis of the clubs in front of us will see one of Ash/Young (i expect GWS to take either at 4), Kemp, Serong or Stephens to be there at 10. I'm happy to take a Jeremy Sharp or Elijah Taylor with 28

The Splitting of Pick 8
Freo will have 3 picks in a row they will 7.Robertson 8. Stephens/Ash 9. Match Carlton's bid on Henry
-
The Splitting of Pick 8
Go and grab a beer your glass is half empty
-
The Splitting of Pick 8
Elijah Taylor should still be there pick #28 unless we look at upgrading in the 20s throwing in Blues 4th rounder
-
The Splitting of Pick 8
Agree, Chaser I think GWS are the most likely to take Young if we don't. Crows I'm not sure on they need some outside run like we do and another small forward to replace Betts/Cameron Sydney IMO will take Flanders as a big mid after bidding for Green Freo will take Robertson if Jackson is gone IMO

The Splitting of Pick 8
