Post Match Discussion - Elimination Final
Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Must be catching beetle I'm polishing them off like lolly water and having little effect to my euphoric finals win high -
Demonland Player of the Year - Elimination Final
Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Seriously tough decision tonight there were boys like Hibbo and Lewy who were massive with their calmness and intercepts along with Frosty. Gawny was immense in the first half but felt there were others who passef hom after half time. Nibbler AVB and Melkshams pressure acts were massive, also pleased with Tracs ball use, composure and decision making but here goes 6. Brayshaw 5. Weid 4. Viney 3.Harmes 2. Oliver 1. Jetta -
Post Match Discussion - Elimination Final
Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
We are a team could have absolutely smashed them, we did physically but the scoreboard flattered them. Watched it with my 11 year old who jumped off in the dark years when he was 5, but he cheered as hard as I did tonight. Cmon boys don't be content with one win enjoy the moment and move on you are seriously becoming good and as the Reverand said in his lead up speech to QB, why not us -
GAMEDAY - Elimination Final
Pennant St Dee replied to Rod Grinter Riot Squad's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just start the game I'm as nervous as I suspect the players will be. Fridge full of some Cricketers Arms and Peroni's, lets hope it's a happy drink -

The Paddo great pub used to be exactly 1070metres from my front door -
Lachie Neale is an accumulator who doesn't hurt sides. 1st rounder and certainly not an early one is all he is worth. Certainly not something we need

Malcolm Blight attacks the MVP Awards
Pennant St Dee replied to Bluey's Dad's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree with Blighty somewhat MVP means your ommission has a massive impact on your side. That puts all three below players well ahead of Mitchell Cripps, Gawn & Grundy -
Who are our bottom six? And where do they rate?
Pennant St Dee replied to Dees2014's topic in Melbourne Demons
Every GF throws up surprise players who have big impacts over the superstars ones I recall in the last 20 odd years without going over game stats 1997 Shane Ellen 2001 Shaun Hart 2005 Lewis Roberts-Thompson, Nick Fosdike, 2006 Andrew Embley, 2008 Xavier Ellis, Clint Young, Stewie Dew who was passed it 2012 a young Hanneberry, Mitch Morton Lake & Stratton during the Hawks years 2016 Joel Hamling, Dale Morris 2017 I would argue the hard running pressure players changed this game -
The joy of footy to a child. This is why those of us who can't make it to the game shared our barcodes. Brings a tear to my eye watching this and takes me back

Key tactical issues v Geelong
Pennant St Dee replied to Lord Neville X Flash's topic in Melbourne Demons
God I remember 87 like it was yesterday. After Vineys goal we were never in trouble. I'll never forget the MCG roar from that day -
Key tactical issues v Geelong
Pennant St Dee replied to Lord Neville X Flash's topic in Melbourne Demons
Stage fright is on the money. They will look to jump us on the counter in the first 10/15mins. We could have a few boys nervous and rushing their disposals early -
As others have said came to us when finals was nothing but a pipedream. Admired him at the Crows, loved him for us reached the magical ton as a Dee and a fairytale ending would be great for his efforts but whatever the outcome Bernie thanks for your efforts 100 + games and B & F at 2 clubs fantastic career. Lets hope a flag at either Fees or Casey is your last footballing memory

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Pennant St Dee replied to Dee1987's topic in Melbourne Demons
We've done well some of later picks especially the two Mac boys both taken at pick 53 -

If Clarry CHOO CHOO DOESNT make AA I will..
Pennant St Dee replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
Clarrie has played in the middle more than Martin should be a starting mid. you take your pick of 2 HFF from Danger Higgins Gray and Martin you don't just accomodate the big names in the starting 18. Devon Smith missing out is a joke, Jackson Mcrae and Yeo are also stiff but you're always going to have some tough stories -
Changes v Geelong - Elimination Final
Pennant St Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think they will look to using Selwood as a run with player and not let Clarrie run free -
Changes v Geelong - Elimination Final
Pennant St Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Pardon the pun Layzie but it's lazy posters who don't actually watch the game. Their justification is like for like small forwards. Spargo uses the ball well runs to provide options, pressure and second efforts. For mine Viney and Hannan in for Kent and JKH Tyson has been good whilst JV has been out and I expect the Cats to put S.Selwood on Clarrie. With JV back in we can send Clarrie forward a bit more to expose Selwood. Harmes to Danger and we back ourselves to go head to head with the other mids. Win the clearances and deliver inside 50 like we have neen of late and we win -
Good perspective and a great post. Tough gig recruiting

We dodged a bullet here Ash's Demons wanted him badly from memory. Posted regularly about him on top of several calls to SEN

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 23
Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
6.Harmes 5.Gawn 4. Brayshaw 3. Salem 2. Lewis 1.Trac -
I heard that but from memory they said we've never had a 100 goal kicker.

Clarrie should be starting over Martin, Jetta is stiff, but so is Tom Stewart. Personally think Phil Davis has been the best full back all season

Sad story and more hell for Brian and all the family. Also a lesson to elite schools and sporting clubs to not turn a blind eye to problems and substance abuse because somebody is an elite talent
