Pretty much nailed it, funny how Australian society loves to play the blame game it stems into the workplace, sport, junior sport. I didn't get the job because he/she is mates with the boss we lost because of the umpires we would have won if Hogan and Watts were playing and the icing on the cake is the onfield performance this season is all down to PJ leaving Nobody wants to face facts, we are smashed by injury this year, resulting in depth players getting more responsibility than they should, that can work for a few games but not for extended periods, confidence has been hit and that combined with the form slump has us where weare at. Some positive signs have come in the last few weeks which might have helped us get a few extra wins in the earlier rounds had we played that way earlier but that would have papered over some cracks, which I'm sure the FD is fully aware of and working on As DD has stated and all others have intimated Taylor has found quite a few Diamonds in the rough and his strike rate is pretty good. AVB without injury big game chager for us, Hunt after a poor 2018 showing good signs again. Nibbler by no means a gun but a running machine and good depth, Fritsch is a good decision maker suffering from the injury crisis and having to play where he's not best for the team, Harmes turned into a B+ grade midfielder, Hannan really important and a good player Spargo unlike others I have no issue with him makes very good decisions with the ball in handonce he builds a tank will be valuable, Baker looks like he belongs, Hore getting better every game As others have said Richmonds flag was built around a nucleus which took 8 to 10 years to build, Eagles took time to rebuild after the 06 boys moved on and believe me a mediocre side with their home ground advantage is almost a monty for top 8 We'll turn it around, we have to much talent not to. I'm not saying we'll do a Dogs or Tigers next year we still need a build towards our nucleus hitting 23 to 27years for sustained tilts.

Hawthorn played possession footy with good ball use by foot. We can't play that game style so it's like comparing apples and oranges. For us to win we have to play on at all costs, quick ball movement and limited turnovers

My youngest got to play halftime little league last week Eagles vs Dees and luckily we drew the red and the blue, he's got a bit of Sam Blease/Clarrie look about him in those colours

Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Certainly not you old dee, whilst I have a go at you sometimes for your negativity I appreciate your a footy lover with some footy knowledge, just maybe a bit battle weary after years of disappointment following our beloved Demons -
Hurn was good in the first quarter, didn't think Mcgovern's game was anything special till Smith went down
-
not to be underestimated dazzle quicker ball movement inside 50 and quicker players at ground level changes the dynamics and options

Yep can't wait my youngest pulled a gig in halftime of the little league, so once he gets through school unscathed tomorrow will be great
-
That's the key element and IMO unless he gets the late call up probably why Pruess may be out. Need to be winning the ground balls inside 50, Big Pruess lacks mobility and could be a very dewy night in Perth if tonight is any indication
-
Doing what Port did, going mobile and ugly inside 50

Any chance Garlett came over earlier and is visiting family in regional WA

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Pennant St Dee replied to Nascent's topic in Melbourne Demons
List building is a continuing process and our needs specifically with the outside run won't be turned around with one mid season draft pick. Some wheeling and dealing at trade time is going to have to occur. Omac - gone backwards needs to build confidence, may need a move and fresh start Petty - not sure he'll be big enough but has time, lacks speed Keilty - now playing as a forward but after 3 years do we have to make the call Frost - ok but limited, could end up being trade bait Lever - great but need him to get an injury free run May - as above Eastland- shows the athleticism to play multiple roles. As i said it's a look ahead not the now. On what Ive seen he'll have a few chasing him in the draft come November. -
The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread

Oliver Eastland could be worth a punt but more long term than quick fix Seen a bit to make me think he may develop into decent tall defender -
Think Gawn will spend more time floating across the backline which is where they will hurt us. Pruess will do the ruckwork forward of centre
-
Not a bad one, Casboult looked good down back yesterday

Been a warrior and absolutely showed true leadership in our darkest hours. Thank you Jonesy, Dees legend

Yep among others. Maybe the carer confiscated the keyboard

Really poor post he's one of our own. Post like this and others calling players spuds says a lot about a poster's knowledge of the game

Suns are horrible to play against, seen a few teams really struggle against them. Stewy Dew is the Paul Roos clone in every way. I'm not sugar coating it, we were poor but going to take the 4 points. Hibberd injury really hurts, hoping Melk can get up

B. Hore Frost Lockhart HB. Hunt Omac Salem C. Stretch Viney Fritsch HF. Trac Tmac Melk F. Smith Pruess Garlett R. Gawn, Brayshaw, Oliver I/C. Harmes, ANB, J.Wagner, Jones Hibberd out is going to hurt he was just starting to find something. Hoping Melk gets up, need to go with the mobile forward line and get the ball in quick and low locking it in. Wouldn't mind big Pruess giving McGovern something to think about by making him earn one
