  1. Can you and hardnut take this to PM with each other instead of wasting half to a full page of threads with I see more than you
  2. 1) Trent Cotchin - on his way to being the best mid in the comp 2) Scott Pendlebury - currently the best mid in the comp 3) Travis Cloke - with the above 2 n our midfield along with what we have and Mitch Clark would be very hard to beat
  3. Is it 1987 WYL would love a trip back to that fairytale ride, but just want to see 4 quarter efforts for the rest of the season do that and we will win another 5-7 games.
  4. Happy with this, Thanks Russian, shot in the arm for the club and stamp of approval for Neeld and future direction of the club. Has been a loyal servant to the club and really hope he is still around when we play deep in September
  5. Fiery encounter Old Dee the feckin Royals drew level with a kick off the ground from the goal square in the dying seconds, The Cardies were up by 40pts at half time and just ran out of legs, not quite perfect but no losses on the weekend
  6. Hardie hates Connelly & Schwab and gives Schwab no credit for turning Fremantles off field fortunes around, he cleared a massive debt while he was there. One thing Brad will never do is backdown from something he says eg "telling Woosha in 2010 he was about as close to a Premiership as he (Hardie) was to getting to Mars". Hardie has also kept quite his belief around trade time 2011 & earlier this season that we had paid way overs for Mitch Clark and he wasn't worth that sort of money
  7. Was thinking of you WYL and some of the older supporters I know last night. Due to our 0-9 start the thougts of many are things are so bad we wont ever move forward. There will still be bad days but we needed to pear right back before we really move forward, Hope you WYL and others now believe better times are ahead, still a while away though Enjoy it my Demon brothers, Mt Hawthorn Cardies JFC had a win today and The Perth derby tomorrow so here's hoping for three wins
  8. Boys my best mate is a born and bred bomber and andrew welsh's uncle i watched the game with him and to be honest we were all waiting for the dees to fall over fook this felt good when wad the last time we won ugly!
  9. I could be wrong but my understanding is Boak and his family are bluebaggers, but IMO like Judd, Franklin & Pendles it means nothing romantic notion but if we want him we need to sell ourselves, media and many demonlanders believe on field ATM we haven't a hope in selling ourselves but we need to get into his manager now and sell the vision and the big part Boak (and whoever else we are targetting) play in it
  10. Good player but would not be throwing everything at him
  11. + 3 Myself, my 4 year old who is still on board and even my 6 year old who now follows the filth all get memberships yearly. I think the 6 year old will come back on board once the tie turns
  12. + 1 Thank god another who sees the Neeld game plan is not solely about hugging the boundary. It's brutal lots of boundary contests then quick switches when players have the legs to create space through the corridor and switch with speed of ball movement. Saw it sinking in today a bit but out on their feet and not enough running power or endurance to do it over 4 quarters. The running will come, need to target mids to win our share of clearances for the finished article Patience required
  13. Wasn''t having a go Jim, I also never want to tank teach these boys to be hard and want to win every game , while making opposition supporters think f#%k we have those hard ba#%ards from Melbourne this week. Think it was Adam Farr who said we are not that far from where the Tigers are at, a couple of good mids to go in with Jones, Trenners, a fit Gysberts, Viney and another pre season or two. Iregularly watch the WAFL kids and a lot have been held back till after U/18's so will keep you posted on any ones I rate and some late bloomers
  14. Call me crazy but what I have see the last two weeks and how I beleive Neeld is with him, I think Im seeing a Sam Fisher type in the making
  15. Lets not go there Jim, was it 07 when the best mids in the draft were Cotchn, Masten & Morton -Cotchin was the only correct call there, 09 Scully & Trenners clear picks 1 & 2 although a lot of hindsight genius's beg to differ but clearly now Martin & Fyfe were the two best. We have committed to Viney we can already see he is a player, try and trade for a gun with our picks if we have to but lets cross that bridge when it comes. No taking no matter who the kids are just concentrate on improving and finishing the season off strong
  16. and here we start to see the players executing the gameplan, may have been after round 2 or 3 when Neeld said he wasn't telling them to always play around the boundary and bomb it long. It was our main style around the boundary but he wanted players to use their iniiative when there was better options and go in board, Maybe the players are starting to understand it a bit better a good few positives today, but we are not fit enough yet to play this gamestyle but when we are we should know it inside out. having said that i think it will continue to evolve once we get our defensive side settled. Bombers and Pies to come and we need to build on the positives
  17. Jack Watts is naturally gifted and my take is he has never had to work to hard at his footy. Bailey continued to let Jack develop without being challenged, well Neeldy is riding him hard because he sees the potential. Watts is finally realising what it takes to play at this level
  18. Do we not think he will be advising the club and Viney on who to pick
  19. Proven track record with drafting so take him I'm sure Neil Craig knows him well
  20. Ox is just like the rest of us sick of people laying the boots in while we are down, well done Ox doing your bit to get behind the club. All take note
  21. Well why didn't they write these articles last October or November, it's crap. and I 'm not saying Neeld is better than Sanderson Hindsight warriors, but remember the hindsight arguement lasts forever
  22. All I want to see is effort, that is all I ask, do your best and put some pride back into the jumper. Four point to me is irrelavant just want to see a positive step taken
  23. Old Dee now your getting ridiculous, we arent doing things by halves this time, it will make us what we have all craved. Take the pain
  24. Satyricon we have two loves the Dees & The Toffees, I got given a blue jersey in 1976 and told that is an Everton jersey so followed them ever since, was at Wembley in 1995 when we won the FA Cup great day and we started that season off in terrible dissaray and looked like getting relegated. In 1980 when we first came to Australia I switched on the tele and the Dees were playing Fitzroy so I picked the Dees and have followed them ever since. It's tough on both sides but the more we get kicked and the more it hurts just tells me how much I love the club. I have seen many dire situations in my life that you would think there is no hope, so I agree with your analogy that it's only a game. However like life there is always hope and light at the end of the tunnel. But anyway great post and look forward to our day "Tiocfadh Ar Lor"
