  1. great post! Yeah im on the 2 midfielder bandwagon! Preference for who is left after your predicted top ten - Swift - mortons best mate, stats at draft camp were apparently awesome, very quick Blease - very quick! there is some good footage of him on youtube Don't know if these guys would slip back to our picks though.
  2. I dont know anything about the guy, but it seems strange that Port picked him up for pick 11, he gets an average of 14.7 disposals a game with 60% game time, and then they let him go for a third rounder. Anyone got any other info? seems like a steal for richmond. twist Posted Today, 12:11 PM Was Dean Bailey Port's midfield coach? He was the defence coach
  3. I actually think they are fishing for Kerr myself. This thread is both funny and horrible. Bell and Pick 35 for Pick 4? no way in hell. I cant belive you for even suggesting it. Bell and Pick 35 for Pick 22 more likely.
  4. He had an average season this year by his standards but is still a good inside midfielder. Collingwood have had intrest in him before. Will most likely go for him now. Drafted in 01, that would put him outside our youth policy?
  5. Its a tough one. But at the end of the day. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
  6. The same Ox who said that Robbie Warnock to the Demons was a done deal? Kerr wants to stay with the eagles. But he wants a long contract. Im amazed how Carlton have enough money in the salary cap to be even contemplating this. There is a thread in the Big Footy drafting forum that will be able to shead more light if anyones interested. Called something like - Blues target Kerr
  7. Trade Bell and pick 35 for Crows pick 28 Trade Green and pick 28 for top 10 pick. Dont know the crows list well enough to know if they would do this. I think we would over pay, but thats how we would get a first round pick, or something close to this.
  8. Ive been thinking about it, there is a reason its taken this long for him to be signed. I reakon we talked to other clubs about trading him and no one was willing to offer a top 20 pick so we re-signed him. Mono - I highly doubt that Geelong would be able to fit him into their salay cap. Chapman is taking a paycut.
  9. He has been injured so much that I don't ever think of him getting better. I just can't see it happening. If he could come back it to form would mean so much for the midfield. I cant really see it happening. It feels like he has already been de-listed and I instantly think of younger players to take his position. I really hope he comes back with a good run. Would essentially be like gaining an extra mid.
  10. I'll be interested to see what happens trade time now, Green was our only real tradeable for a good pick. I just hope we give this rebuild a good go. The club isn't going well, I dont think we will be able to survive another rebuild in 6 years time. Another top 20 pick would have been really nice. Then again, I doubt we would have got it for him.
  11. Nudge. How come every year you bring up all these hyopothetical trades that you know the club are interested in? I for one quite like your topics, because at the end of the football year it gives me something to think about. However, for the past 3 years you have come on here and posted all these possible trades without ever providing a decent source.
  12. He had a good year last year and was looked to as one of our best defenders. People on here are quick to forget that. Freak. you get shot down cause your mouth spews forth vomit.
  13. Back on topic. I wouldn't do the original trade suggested. Simply because we wouldn't be gaining an extra pick. Just upgrading 17 - 6. I think people would look more at: Bruce, Green to Carlton for pick 6. Even that sounds like a loss to melbourne. Personally I would look at Green, Jamar for pick 6.
  14. Ha! that was a good read. I dont think alot of posters quite got the joke. which makes it even better in my eyes!
  15. Ha! What a joke! How many colours do they want? "The colours became very simple -- we needed a blue to pick up on the sky of the city. "We needed white to represent our sand and gold of course for the sun." Okay, so where does the red fit in? Posted by: P. D. Johnson of Gold Coast 3:27pm Saturday The 'mascot' (BTW, most fans call him Gaylord, not Gazza) Ha! cant belive they gave the Gold Coast a team over Tasmania. Fremantle must be having celebrations for no longer being the afl biggest joke team.
  16. Yeah P.J has played well for the Zebras. As has Simon Godfrey, Steven Armstrong, Chris Lamb, Etc, Etc. I have seen glimpses of P.j playing well in the forward line but never for a whole match or over a couple of weeks. I always get excited at the start of the match seeing him up there. And as soon as the ball is bounce he runs up to the middle or wing, leaving Maric or Wonna there. I would love for him to be played as a full forward for a whole match. It looks like an obvious decision to me. Obviously the coaches know otherwise.
  17. All based on rumours so far, but its pretty clear that Carlton are on the hunt for an out of contract player, so you would think that they would have enough money to spare. Couldn't be much more than we would offer though. You would think that Robbie would want to be number 1 ruckman, he is sure to get that for a long time at the demons. Still think we will get him easily.
  18. Un-needed player. Even if he stays on the list, I doubt he would get a game next year. Should just pay out his contract and send him on his way. I doubt anyone would pick him up in the PSD.
  19. Agree 100% Rhino. Posters on here seem to be wearing thier rose coloured glasses when it comes to our ruck. Jamar, while being decent in the ruck, is rubbish around the ground and just shows how bad we have it when he is considered number 1. He takes 1 or 2 decent marks a game and people think he is coming along nicely. Rubbish. PJ, while being a fave of mine. Has not cemented a position on the ground anywhere. To me he looks lost when playing up forward. He has the size and the pace to be a great full forward, but even when we are crying out for one he can't quite cut it. His rucking is average, but acceptable for a 2nd choice. Personally, If we get R.Warnock, I would trade Jamar. I think we could get a late 3rd round pick for him. That makes Warnock 1 and P.J 2nd ruck. If one gets injured then we can either bring in Meeson. or Elevate Spencer. I know that people are going to say Meeson is [censored]. but If you really think we are going to finish above bottom 4 next year then you are dreaming. Therfore we could give him a go before Delisting. Its a chance I would be willing to make. Just out of intrest, I read somewhere that Spencer wants to go home? I dont know where his home is or if this is true at all but if anyone could give some info.
  20. http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/matt...0121086124.html Link to the Age if anyones keen. 'While he confirmed he would continue to live in Queensland, Matthews said he was unsure where the next step in his career would take him.' 'Once voted the best Australian rules player of the 20th century, Matthews has been a larger-than-life figure in AFL in Brisbane, with his iconic stature helping to establish the game in the growing South-East Queensland market.' After reading these sentences does anyone else think that maybe Leigh might be linked to the new Gold Coast team?
  21. While your view is a bit extreme, I do agree to a point. Unfortunatly we dont have much of value to trade. Brad Green and Cam Bruce would be our only good value. Everything else we would probably lose out on.

You got a good chuckle out of me there!
  23. Totally agree. This really annoyed me. Two years before this Neale had all the boys bulking up to compete with Brisbanes game plan and then turns around and changes it all. Was definatley a bad idea.
  24. If we could get a top 20 pick for Green we should take it. It would be pretty heart breaking for me. but i think it would better for both parties. As much as I usually agree with you Rhino, i disagree this time. I think some clubs would be certainly entertaining the idea of offering a top 20 pick for him. Especially with the year he has been having. We really need to have a decent crack at this rebuild. Otherwise we will end up like Richmond. However. I belive Brad will re-sign a new 3 year deal soon.
