I really hope we don't pick him. Not even meeting with any other clubs is very unprofessional. Its clear that he doesn't want us. And I really don't want him. If we do pick him up, I will never ever cheer for him. In fact I will probably swear under my breath every week he gets selected. Really hope Port pick him up.

Thorp was not recruited as depth. At the time of drafting Buddy and Roughead had not shown that they were either were going to make it. There is no way we will be using pick 11 on a depth player. I see what your getting at rpfc. I doubt Butcher will slide to 11. We would be massively overpaying for Griffiths, Carlisle or Panos at 11. Ive got no idea about Black.

Big picture is - World cup soccer in Australia = Awesome. AFL will still be played. No matter what. We are talking about 2018 / 2022. Its a long time away. Yeah he may not have got much of a game at the Cats. But they do have a VFL team as well. Really don't seem to recall when he played above average in that competition either.

Buckley has more potential. Bartram is a better player now. I'll be disappointed if we don't use pick 34

Could he become a tagger? Sounds like he has the tank for it. I have big doubts he would get a position anywhere else in the team with a lot of flankers coming through

What if every time is a half back flanker? Best available for the first three picks. Pick 18 can and should be used for needs.

I agree with the above. If we rookie Spencer for the third year it means that Jamar, Meesen, Johnson and Spencer all come out of contract at the end of next year. Johnson and Meesen will be likely to go. Ruckman take so long to develop. Would rather pick up one sooner than later. I would like Vardy. Looks like he might be around at pick 18. Max Gawn could be a likely type too. Not sure if he would be around for pick 34.

If you actually re-read this entire thread, most of the people on here have been quite understanding of the delistings and have been wishing the boys the best for the future. The last page of the thread is discussing the upcoming delisting of Bartram. Which about 90% of posters are agreeing to. I think its more the fact that football has stopped. Trade week is over, and we don't have anything else to talk about. You look at big footy, they are so bored over there that there is a topic on the width of Scullys hands!

Who are the posters getting distraught? In my opinion it seems most posters are very understanding of the de listings.
