Make that 250 thanks! So excited about this one, and what a great way to finish off a horrible season. Hope he has a great game and gives us yet another reason to look forward to the future.

As much as I LOATH the Carlton Football Club and wish them nothing but failure and misery, you can't blame them for trying to work around the cap. It is 100% the AFL's fault for allowing crap like this to go on. I have no doubt that we too offered Judd deals that fall outside of the cap, and so we should have. But trust the AFL to investigate us for talking to Warnock, but letting Carlton get away with what is basically cheating. A disgrace of the highest order but one that doesn't surprise me even a little. The AFL's administration team is the single biggest problem facing the game today. If anyone can ruin 150 years of tradition and success, it's the current people in charge.

VOTE B! Option A is horrible, truly horrible. It looks like an amature under 12's jumper. I still think they should have enlisted supporters to DESIGN the jumper, not just vote. I've seen some great jumpers designed by our supporters, and I know a few fashion design students who happen to barrack for Melbourne who would happily have tried to come up with some designs *cough*

Actually, it sounded like it was JIMMY that said to him that he needs just 2 more games to reach 300/ life membership. Lets hope Jim isn't getting involved in football matters though, and that Bailey picked him based on his ongoing form at Sandy (which has been solid).

Both have had great careers, both are finished at the highest level. Congratulations to them both and thanks for their service over a long period of time. This really is the end of an era and the beginning of something new and exciting.

I agree. Did a good job on his opponents (everyone got done by Motlop), and his disposal was good too. Broke the lines without getting caught and carried the ball fairly well. Definitely one of his best games for the year. People calling him useless on other threads are just using him as their regular punching bag for the year. I guess now that Brad Miller is performing well, they had to go and find a replacement

Too little too late. And Bartram may be struggling, but Yze is the last person he should be taking advice from. At least he chases, tackles, stands within 10m of his opponent and puts his body on the line every week. For someone who was at risk of never playing again due to the complicated nature of his injury, he has done well to come back and compete. He isn't brilliant, he never will be, but he works hard at his task and that's what you can expect from a 2nd year player (last year doesn't count, only played 1 match) playing in a team that is getting smashed every week and is devoid of any leadership.

1 word analysis: VOMIT

Nothing you just wrote excuses a selfish and very experienced leader at the club to yell at a kid for a mistake he did not make with intent. Like I said, Yze should worry about his own form before attacking others. And Yze's circumstances are COMPLETELY his fault. Junior, Bruce, Whelan and Green have all kept their spot in the side because they are teamworkers and they contribute. Yze spent the year at Sandy not because of age, but because of his application at senior level over the last 3 seasons.

Please, Bartram stuffed up, he didn't do it on purpose. Bit rich for Yze to be having a go at a kid 10 years younger than him, when he is meant to be a leader and yet his output this year has been disgraceful. Should worry about getting his own ball before yelling at others for not giving it to him! Edit: Jeff White- oh dear.

Did I really just see Yze yelling at Bartram? Please tell me I didn't just see the least team-oriented player on the field yelling at Bartram for not handballing to him! :angry: :angry:

Martin and Morton are the only two reasons why I haven't taken a knife and slashed my wrists yet. Would someone explain to me what the fudge we're doing? The accountability, or lack therefore, is the worst I've seen from us all year, and that's saying something. A shameful display even though I want to lose and finish on the bottom.

Football is very uncertain. Heaven forbid he suffers a career-ending injury next week and never plays again, or perhaps he has post-footy aspirations and is looking to study part time while playing. I admire players who can look beyond their footy, because those careers don't last long even at the best of times.

Says who? We're 16th and he can hit a target, there is definitely a spot for him in the side especially since Aussie is struggling.

Yeah, good to hear he is concentrating on school. He's had a taste of senior footy and did brilliantly, but to be perfectly honest a good VCE score will help him more in life than playing a losing game in Adelaide. Smart kid and great to see the club accommodating him. It will be much the same if we get Watts in the draft, he probably won't play any senior footy at all. By the way, Greeny made it pretty damn obvious on the Footy Show tonight that these are farewell matches for both Yze and Whitey.

Frawley I thought was quite good the last two weeks, finally getting some confidence and taking the game on. Strange. I'm pretty sure Maric has VCE or school-football commitments, because it seems grossly unfair to drop him. Yze and White getting their farewell games. Port by 10 goals, and thank god for that.

If Harvey looked like Jennifer Hawkins and wore a bikini while making milkshakes then maybe he could lure Cale home, but unfortunately for him Harvey's milkshakes don't bring all the boys to his yard You would think we are the first club to talk to out of contract players before the end of the year!

Absolutely I include Green in that 80% Yes he's a good player, and yes he's a good leader, but he won't be around for a premiership and he is not so valuable that if we lost him and gained a top player for the future we'd struggle. For goodness sake, he is not an A grade footballer, he is a loose defender who sometimes plays forward, hardly irreplaceable. And for all of his leadership attributes, Green was not put in the leadership group at the start of the year, so we'd manage without him. Experience is great, but young talent is better when you're on the bottom of the ladder. And yes I want him to stay, but if we get offered pick 25 or lower I would take that without hesitation.
