  1. Haha can't believe I only just read this article. As if I missed out on such important news. I'm so behind!
  2. Moloney looks like a fridge... or is that just me? I wouldn't be surprised if Sylvia tried to instigate a fight with McLean. One because it's Sylvia's style, and also because rumours have it that those two didn't have the best relationship. I'm so looking forward to this game. Going with my best friend who is a Carlton supporter, and we're going out afterwards, so I need bragging rights or it'll be a very long night.
  3. Amazing how your favourite player can be come one of your most hated just by moving to Carlton. I used to love McLean once upon a time, now I hope he gets 1 possession against us and that Moloney smashes him into the turf multiple times. *Sigh*. Should have stuck to reading my sales reports and not Demonland this morning.
  4. Really happy with the review Strauss got, and I hope he is in for this week to replace one of Rivers or MacDonald because he definitely is better suited to Carlton's small backline.
  5. Jonathan Brown... because he is a proven AFL superstar
  6. I agree 100% with Voss' views that the AFL should be investing millions of dollars in junior competitions, not paying rugby players ridiculously inflated wages for the sake of PR spins. To think that someone who might not even be any good at this game will be getting paid more than Jonathan Brown, Chris Judd, Matthew Pavlich and so forth, is just stupid. Good luck to GWS... hope they haven't flushed 3mil down the drain.
  7. I do yes. I think there is a difference between losing physical speed, and trying to catch up to the pace of the game after a long lay off. He hasn't had a pre-season and played 1.5 VFL games before being thrown straight back into the side. What he needs is time and confidence in his body again.
  8. It's a miracle he has been able to get back on an AFL ground without losing pace or skills, but yes it will take him a while to get back into top gear again. He is such a smart footballer, and such a versatile player he is easily in our top 10 most important players of the future IMHO.
  9. Fantastic news! We could really use him against Carlton and Collingwood's small forwards.
  10. We HAVE to beat Carlton. I haven't wanted to win a game this much since the days when we weren't barracking for Jordan McMahon. It might not define our season, but it will make the season a whole lot better.
  11. So Bail, McKenzie and Spencer all injured? That would be an epic loss in my mind.
  12. We would have lost to Geelong had we vacationed in Hawaii the week before, or had we played on Mars. We got the 4 points up in Darwin, and came up tired. Better to come back tired and play a game we're no chance of winning, than lose to Richmond at home.
  13. If we both stick to what we do best, I'll only ever work in fashion and you'll only ever make an arse of yourself... and what would be the fun in that? Oh and when I start caring about you enough to have personal arguments with you, I'll let you know, but don't hold your breath.
  14. Yesterday wasn't disappointing, yesterday was reality Geelong are 10 goals better than us. Last year, they were 100 goals better. We're improving.
  15. My head just exploded. Maybe it's trying to read this post with a hangover, maybe it's trying to understand why Grimes is being picked on as being undisciplined. Either way, time to go back to bed after this little gem of a thread.
  16. 13 handballs, 13 kicks, 4 clearances, 69% disposal efficiency Highest possession getter for the side. Extraordinary effort.
  17. Bottom of the page
  18. Rivers for one. MacDonald. Neither of those guys were good today, and neither of them have a decent match up next week.
  19. Chip was very very good on Johnson. After he kicked 2 early in the game, Chip absolutely dominated him and gave us plenty of drive off the half back line. Bartram did a great job on Burns too. He has really resurrected his career. The rest of the backline had a bad day, although I think Grimes did a reasonable job down back, but wasn't able to give us any forward drive whatsoever.
  20. Had a wonderful first game. Great at winning the ball and very clean with his disposal. Going to be a gem!
  21. I don't care who goes out, but we need Scully, Trengove and Bate back. I'd also look at maybe rewarding Cheney with a game, given Carlton have plenty of small forwards we need to cover.
  22. We weren't disgraced, and I was happy with the pressure we put on them. In the end their footskills killed us, and their delivery meant that our defenders had a tough day at the office. Not to mention that both Warnock and Rivers were smashed. This game was always going to be a write off and now the task is to go out and SMASH Carlton.
  23. Awesome
  24. yeah meeting got pushed back which completely stuffed up the rest of my day which is why I'm only just leaving work. My week has been a bigger fail than the entire back catalogue of the Geelong Advertiser. TGIF!
