  1. I know the administration isn't out there playing at the G, or pulling match day moves, but they have now been in charge of 4 disastrous years of footy. What blame do they get? I always found it odd that Connolly was suddenly silenced. Never to be heard or seen again. The rumblings about him were loud. And negative. Same goes for Schwab, who was out the door until 186 happened. I'm not about to run for election here (sorry to disappoint!), but I certainly would like to see an amicable push for change at the top. Jim did what he had to do to save us from death, and I will forever love him for that, but the rest of the men who came with him should now be accountable for what is happening not just off, but also on the field. They, after all, chose both footy departments.
  2. So can we give back Scully and have Martin instead?
  3. Yeah, bit rich coming from a now Carlton player. Never more blatant tanking than during the infamous Kruezer cup. TJ had like 58 disposals FFS!
  4. With Nicholson and Jetta both unavailable, I'd be shocked if Gysberts and Morton don't get a game this week. Would love to see Evans too, but not too sure of his eligibility. Any chance Fitzpatrick instead of Spencer? We couldn't get a goal while Spencer was rucking.
  5. Please [censored] the hell off season 2012. You have officially destroyed every ounce of sh!t I once gave.
  6. What? Where the hell did I say I wanted him to leave? Of course I want him to stick with us and help us succeed, but honestly, I just can't blame players who have worked hard and constantly put in, if they just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel and want out. It's only human to want success, and Nathan Jones has experienced so little of it at Melbourne. Maybe he looks at Brad Green and thinks "I don't want to get to 250 games and not experience any real success". I think he is really loyal, so it's not an issue, but we constantly look at good players coming out of contracts at sh*t clubs and think "why would they stay there". So how is Jones any different?
  7. I always wonder if Gysberts is the sort of player who would benefit from having a good team of outside runner around him. Then I realise he plays for Melbourne.
  8. If you locked Sylvia and Moloney in a room together, and told them to try and make their way out to safety, Moloney would point and yell at Sylvia to do something, and Sylvia would shake the door handle a few times, then proceed to call Neeld, promise that next time he'll be way better at this, and that really he is so good he could just blink and open the lock, and have Neeld rush to his aid.
  9. Yep, and he barely missed a beat after breaking his back, and when he injured his calf a few weeks ago, he was waking up every 2 hours to ice it. That's why he was back within a week, when it takes others 2-3 weeks. His dedication is unbelievable, even more so, when he is a lone solider leading a pack of morons through enemy lines.
  10. Thank you Jonesy, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me a continuous reason to go to games. For providing moments of positively, in a season of utter darkness. For having a go, all the time, every second, of every game, whether you are tagged, or hurt, or have had a gutful. I will not blame you if you chose to go elsewhere at the end of the year, if you took your continued improvement to a team that will provide you with the opportunity to play and win finals before you are dead. But let it be known, that if you leave, I will probably pack up my membership scarves and call it a day too.
  11. What worries me more than the list, more than the game plan, and more than the fitness (because all these can be chopped and changed and improved), is the absolute lack of fight from this team. Even when we are in front, even when things are going OK on the field, everybody looks defeated. We start games looking like we are 100 points down. We give up momentum and scoreboard leads in a matter of minutes, we barely ever fight back, and we will finish this season with 1 legitimate win (because nobody cares about beating GWS & GC). That is unacceptable no matter how bad your list is (and it isn't that bad). Please tell me, when was the last time an established team managed just 1 win for the whole season?
  12. And Mitch Clark sat quietly and weeped.
  13. A big [censored] you to whoever is responsible for making me hate footy right now. P.S.- I heart you Nathan Jones!
  14. Nathan Jones deserves so many votes, for being an island of sanity in an ocean of diarrhea
  15. [censored] this. Honestly I give up trying to make sense of this abomination.
  16. Why the [censored] doesn't anyone run forward when we win the footy? Why oh why?! I feel like smashing my head against the level 3 railing. Nathan Jones is just about the only one preventing me from walking out. Someone please explain to me why we refuse to have a target up forward. Any target. Even Spencer. It's infuriating because North aren't great, and if we weren't such a shambles of a team, we could beat them.
  17. Enough is enough already. Sick of wanting to cry everytime I watch us play. Wtf is this setup? No forwards, constantly outnumbered all over the ground. Just embarrassing. Two more years of this rubbish. Really?
  18. Really struggling to motivate myself to get off the couch and go to the game. No hope.
  19. What would stop Liam from playing next year? He can still play with the looming case, after all, he isn't even allowed back home. If he is fit, and I can't see why he wouldn't be, he should be there round 1. If he needs time off to go to court, well we'll grant him leave. It's not that difficult to manage. Again, I'm staggered by all the negativity. Liam says he is innocent, the weight of evidence suggests he's telling the truth, and he is a gun footballer who we haven't even seen play alongside Clark, and with a decent midfield. If the club just gave up on him because it was all "too hard", when we've dealt with plenty more difficult players before (Sylvia says hi btw), I would be so disappointed and disgusted. We have an obligation, not just to Liam, but to our club, to help him help us become a better team. He is a very very good player. We have so few of those!
  20. I'm baffled that supporters think we should drop him now. He is less likely to end up in jail now, after so many mixed evidence, than he was before we heard from all the witnesses. We sign him up for a year, support him through this, and worry about the rest as it happens. You don't let someone so talented just slip by. He is a Melbourne player, and he gets our support. I, and I'm sure the rest of the people at the club, believe he is innocent. To demote him or delist him, suggests otherwise. There are so many rubbish players on our list, it's not like we are struggling to clear the list.
  21. Ugh, year from hell continues, especially for Jurrah. I sincerly hope the club sticks by him.
  22. I love all these "what about Clark" comments. We are allowed to have more than 1 good player. I hear it's legal. We are crazy if we don't offer him everything we can. The club will only pay him what they think we can afford going forward. If that's enough to get him across the line, then happy [censored] days. You don't say no to a quality CHF!
  23. If we stop Petrie, you can bet some nobody hack would bob up and kick 5. Who even heard of this Port kid who ripped us apart before Saturday night? We are North's [censored], and it kills me to say it, because I hate North and their [censored] shineboner spirit garbage.
  24. Tom Scully- one more friggin headache we thankfully don't have to deal with in 2012. Imagine this horrible year being topped off by Scully's awful form, and supporters slashing their wrists because "he is the worst #1 pick eve!!!1"
  25. Here is what I know for sure, we are sh*t and we need good players at any cost. Travis Cloke is a good player.
