  1. Get Watts the [censored] off Brown.
  2. Tom McDonald down the rooms coughing blood. Awesome.
  3. FFS our midfield is not even competing. So sad.
  4. Oh shizen! We are gonna get done like a dinner. Good times ahead.
  5. LOL. I loath Carlton. Almost as good watching Carlton lose, as it is watching Melbourne win. When Carlton loses to Melbourne, one day, it will be like the world's greatest footballing orgasm. One day.
  6. No, really? I always want injured players to play! I know he's playing for Casey, as he has for the past few weeks. I question why he isn't playing in the seniors. He's already missed so much development time this year. Seems a waste.
  7. Big difference being home sick and being wanted home, where your dad works... And used to captain. I'm not saying this tactic will work, but it may be something we rely on. At the end of the day it's a massive risk for GWS and GC to miss out on the best talent in the land just to screw us, especially if there is a chance it'll come back to bite you on the arse! Having said that, we've been hand stitching JV's jumper for 2 years now. He ain't going anywhere but Melbourne!
  8. This obsession that Watts HAS to be a forward some day, is odd. Just because he played forward as a junior means nothing. So did Garland, who up until 2 weeks ago has kicked 4 goals in about 100 games. Tom McDonald was a forward growing up and spent all pre season training as a forward. So what? If Watts is better suited down back, and right now he is, then let him be. His disposal makes me weep with joy. I like that and I don't get to see it up forward.
  9. Adelaide and West Coast are powerful, successful rich clubs. Wtf are GC and GWS if not a home for unlucky teens and mercenaries?
  10. I guess we are willing to risk 'losing' Jack because we know that he'll request a trade home in 2 years. Of course there is no guarantee he'll be successful in returning to Melbourne, but you put that out there in your interview, and you watch clubs go off you. Nic Nat rings a bell? We'd be stupid not to do everything in our power to keep picks 3 & 4.
  11. Perhaps they want to try Russian at FF for the majority of the game? I for one love 50/50 shots on the goal line. They make for exciting viewing. Now, where the hell is Gysberts. Some sub action at least. Give me something Neeld!
  12. He can read the play down back, and with Garland and Rivers up forward, I think it's time Stef went back when not rucking. At the end of the day we have to give Jamar a hand, and Sellar is absolutely useless in there, and Spencer gives you nothing around the ground, so what options do we actually have?
  13. And we've come full circle. Please someone complain about drafting Watts ahead of Nic Nat and this thread will be complete.
  14. All these dodgy back-handed deals to nail us some minors, really confuse me. Just get me someone awesome in a Melbourne jumper, and I'm happy. Also, it must be a midfielder. Kthnxby.
  15. A lot of Stef Martin hate, when in reality he is miles and miles ahead of any second ruck option we have on our list (and that includes Mitch Clark who should never be risked in the ruck anyway *sob*). With Rivers and Garland possibly moving forward more permanently, Stef could easily shuffle down back when not rucking. He should play this week, and I believe he will. We forget so quickly, but he was one of our best players last year and came on in leaps and bounds. Injury has ruined his season thus far.
  16. Liam Jurrah is clearly suffering from the Nick Smith curse.
  17. Well done to my boy Tom McDonald. Never in doubt! Now sign him up Melbourne!
  18. Actually dropping him to the VFL might be a good start.
  19. Foot fracture- same as Garland and Grimes. I do love how Egan has become the poster child for every career-ending injury ever. He must be so happy to hold that title. Still feel sick about this. So unfair, and just utterly devastating. I miss him already. This is worse than the day Scully went up "to check the facilities". I actually like Clark!
  20. This is [censored]. I want Mitch Clark
  21. Ugh!!!! [censored] off! He can have my foot.
  22. [censored] [censored] [censored] [censored]. Why?! Somebody with some medical knowledge please tell us there is no lasting damage possible? My heart just dropped!
  23. I'm sure Couch will get his chance, but let's be honest, Gysberts is almost a certainty to be a big part of our midfield future. Couch isn't.
  24. Not if our players learn to get out of his way. He's Mitch Clark FFS, he's got this. Stay clear of him, and he'll be fine. If he misses the mark, he's more than capable of getting up and laying the tackle. Besides, he can take on 4 opponents easy. He's Mitch Clark! On a serious note, things like this will come with time. Our forwards, especially those who have played about 2 games together (Rivers and Garland), are still learning to work around him. Going forward we'll have to work on set plays so that somebody learns to stay down. At the moment you have Clark, Howe and at some point Jurrah all trying to take mark of the year, and nobody is at their feet in case they miss.
