Must spend all pre-season working on his goal kicking. He isn't a terrible field kick, but his goal kicking is shizen. His marking though is stupidly good, and he has been an absolute shinning light this year. Not just exciting and spectacular, but actually hard working too.

My crystal ball says that in 5 years time we'll all be sitting at the G at Sylvia's farewell game, moaning that he could have been "the greatest footballer ever, if he wasn't so lazy". Just like the club itself, Sylvia will forever continue to torture us, divide us, and generally make us want to bang our heads against the wall. When he is good, he is very good. It's just that he isn't good very often, which is far more frustrating than watching a player who is plain talentless.

It was a pathetic move from the MCG. We heard the song, good on the Crows, but FFS, show some respect. Even Taylor Walker Twitted that he thought it was poor form.

I am not saying that shouldn't trade him for a good deal, but he isn't a bit-part player. He is the best second ruck option we have by a mile. Gawn is a first ruck, not a secondary ruck options, so unless we have loads of confidence in Fitzpatrick, we will be left without a decent second ruck option if we get rid of Martin.

That's true, but almost 24 months of a midfield which still does not know how to set up, is a worry. How do you leave Dangerfield or Thompson alone at every bounce? How basic a skill is it to teach your midfield to position itself correctly? I am no brain surgeon or rocket scientist, but even I can pick this up. Lost count of how many times a game I am yelling pre-bounce for our players to reposition themselves. We literally seem to run the wrong way at every bounce. It's bizarre.

Our midfield... OMG our midfield. SO SO SO bad, it was like watching a training drill. I'm shocked that we can have a senior coach who was a premiership midfield coach, and yet we go through long periods in a match where we literally do not touch the ball at the centre bounce. How many times today did the Crows just pounce on the footy and go? Embarrassing stuff. Also does anyone know why Rivers was subbed off? Injured I assume, because he was playing well. I'd be disappointing if he wasn't with us next year. One of the few senior players this year who have been consistent and showed good leadership. P.S.- whoever the [censored] #11 umpire is, please go learn the rules you absolute hopeless cause. One of the worst umpires I have ever had the displeasure of seeing!

Very very disappointing game from him. He does look hampered by some sort of leg or lower back injury? Either way, he was smashed today, which happens even to the best defenders once in a while (and especially when the opposition midfield continues to win uncontested clearances!!!!), but his body language was pathetic. He is now a senior player, and a leader, and he needs to stop sooking when things are going against him. Just as a side note, Mark Neeld needs to re-evaluate this "rob the backline to bolster the forwardline" crap. It's doing more harm than good.

Pretty concerning that we chose to do the easy thing to avoid external scrutiny, instead of the right thing in the long term. If the board had no faith in Schwab, they should never have renewed his contract, regardless of what was happening with the coach. Both were proving to be just as bad for our club. I hope Bailey doesn't take this too personally and comes out blabbing about you know what. Goddamn it, this club is such a monumental mess even after all these years.

So which 1 will we win? Against a top 2 team, who need to win to secure a home final? Or against a team who needs to win to make finals, at their home ground, where we haven't won in years? Good luck with that!
