  1. I still don't know how they can prove anything. Matthew Bate in the middle? Welcome to 2012. Frawley up forward? Is that worse or better than Rivers and Garland up forward? Paul Johnson down back? Stef Martin has successfully played down back. So has Sellar. Both have also rucked and played forward. Unless you have physical evidence of officials or players discussing 'tanking', you can't prove sh*t. We lost the game after the siren because a player who couldn't hit the side of a barn, kicked a goal from 50meters out. That would never have happened, if like Carlton, our players were told to go out and lose. At least our players weren't missing shots on goal from 20meters out, and at least we didn't leave their best players unmatched so they could accumulate 40+ possessions. I repeat, you can't prove sh*t. All you can categorically say is that we have been a terrible footy side for many years, and we deserve the priority pick more than Collingwood, Hawthorn and West Coast ever did!
  2. Gysberts! Wait, I still don't care about this game. Never mind, carry on.
  3. What a stupid thing to say. Clint Bartram is about to undergo a major operation to not just save his footy career, but give him a better quality of life. He is a great guy, who has been through a lot in his personal life, and gives his heart and soul to our club every single time he runs out on the field. Why even bring up his average kicking? FFS! Give me Bartram over Sylvia any day of the week.
  4. Poor Clint. I hope and cross my fingers for him. I've had stem cell treatment done on my knees and it hasn't really helped, but I'm confident that an athletes body is far less retarded than mine. All the best Barts!
  5. You can think what you like Paul, it's a free country, but FFS, don't go on public record and drop us in what is a serious accusation you [censored]!
  6. Next time I see that [censored] Paul Gardner at the local coffee shop near work, which he frequents a lot, I will be sure to tell him what a low life f'wit he is.
  7. I actually think Paul Johnson has helped our cause with that article. He never said we went out trying to lose, but that player development was our main focus, and making players more versatile in the long run. That's not in any way illegal or against the spirit of the game. The way we've developed some players this year, only goes to prove this. Players playing in multiple positions to try and fill gaps and develop their skills. We were sh*t, the worst team in the league by far. We spent 1 game actively manipulating the play to try and lose, and we still nearly stuffed it up. They can't prove anything, and the only way this blows up in our faces is if people with serious agendas against us, are trying to bring the club down.
  8. Yet playing Garland and Rivers up forward, Dunn and Watts in the backline and Howe on the wing is fine in 2012. They can't prove sh!t
  9. So let me get this straight, Tony Libratore, told everyone that Carlton tanked. Carlton didn't even get a slap on the wrist. Some halfwit bogan idiot player tells a bunch of hack journalists that we weren't playing to win, and you people think they are going to sanction us? The AFL makes out that they are ignorant, but they know full well what goes on, and it would not surprise me in the least, if Stynes discussed our plans with the AFL when he was laying out his plans to save the club. Nothing will come of this, and when we are winning again, nobody will dare mention the tanking. Hawthorn, Collingwood, Carlton, West Coast? Who?
  10. Bad enough that some has-been ex player is airing the dirt on national TV, but if this sort of garbage has come from players who are still on the payroll, they should be hung out to dry (behind closed doors of course). I'm thinking Chris Johnson style exist.
  11. I dunno, maybe we should ask Brock McLean what he thinks. He seems to have an opinion on just about everything MFC related these days.
  12. December 23rd, when I board my flight to Europe. Upon my return, I expect to see a different club. One that doesn't make my eyes bleed!
  13. I'm at stage 6: drink to forget Next stage: AA meetings
  14. FFS Brock Mclean, just do everyone a favour and STFU!
  15. I know the administration isn't out there playing at the G, or pulling match day moves, but they have now been in charge of 4 disastrous years of footy. What blame do they get? I always found it odd that Connolly was suddenly silenced. Never to be heard or seen again. The rumblings about him were loud. And negative. Same goes for Schwab, who was out the door until 186 happened. I'm not about to run for election here (sorry to disappoint!), but I certainly would like to see an amicable push for change at the top. Jim did what he had to do to save us from death, and I will forever love him for that, but the rest of the men who came with him should now be accountable for what is happening not just off, but also on the field. They, after all, chose both footy departments.
  16. So can we give back Scully and have Martin instead?
  17. Yeah, bit rich coming from a now Carlton player. Never more blatant tanking than during the infamous Kruezer cup. TJ had like 58 disposals FFS!
  18. With Nicholson and Jetta both unavailable, I'd be shocked if Gysberts and Morton don't get a game this week. Would love to see Evans too, but not too sure of his eligibility. Any chance Fitzpatrick instead of Spencer? We couldn't get a goal while Spencer was rucking.
  19. Please [censored] the hell off season 2012. You have officially destroyed every ounce of sh!t I once gave.
  20. What? Where the hell did I say I wanted him to leave? Of course I want him to stick with us and help us succeed, but honestly, I just can't blame players who have worked hard and constantly put in, if they just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel and want out. It's only human to want success, and Nathan Jones has experienced so little of it at Melbourne. Maybe he looks at Brad Green and thinks "I don't want to get to 250 games and not experience any real success". I think he is really loyal, so it's not an issue, but we constantly look at good players coming out of contracts at sh*t clubs and think "why would they stay there". So how is Jones any different?
  21. I always wonder if Gysberts is the sort of player who would benefit from having a good team of outside runner around him. Then I realise he plays for Melbourne.
  22. If you locked Sylvia and Moloney in a room together, and told them to try and make their way out to safety, Moloney would point and yell at Sylvia to do something, and Sylvia would shake the door handle a few times, then proceed to call Neeld, promise that next time he'll be way better at this, and that really he is so good he could just blink and open the lock, and have Neeld rush to his aid.
  23. Yep, and he barely missed a beat after breaking his back, and when he injured his calf a few weeks ago, he was waking up every 2 hours to ice it. That's why he was back within a week, when it takes others 2-3 weeks. His dedication is unbelievable, even more so, when he is a lone solider leading a pack of morons through enemy lines.
  24. Thank you Jonesy, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me a continuous reason to go to games. For providing moments of positively, in a season of utter darkness. For having a go, all the time, every second, of every game, whether you are tagged, or hurt, or have had a gutful. I will not blame you if you chose to go elsewhere at the end of the year, if you took your continued improvement to a team that will provide you with the opportunity to play and win finals before you are dead. But let it be known, that if you leave, I will probably pack up my membership scarves and call it a day too.
  25. What worries me more than the list, more than the game plan, and more than the fitness (because all these can be chopped and changed and improved), is the absolute lack of fight from this team. Even when we are in front, even when things are going OK on the field, everybody looks defeated. We start games looking like we are 100 points down. We give up momentum and scoreboard leads in a matter of minutes, we barely ever fight back, and we will finish this season with 1 legitimate win (because nobody cares about beating GWS & GC). That is unacceptable no matter how bad your list is (and it isn't that bad). Please tell me, when was the last time an established team managed just 1 win for the whole season?
