How do you know that Carlisle wouldn't have nominated Melbourne, had we had any interest in him? Players aren't nominating clubs that have no interest in them. Otherwise everyone would say they want to go to Hawthorn.

If Frawley was actually committed to us during the year, and played like he was interested in staying, we would have kept him. There is no doubt about it. Frawley was never going to stay, he was after success, quick gratification. He got what he wanted, and we got a much much better player than he ever could hope to be in Brayshaw. It worked out for everyone, but if Brayshaw was Toumpas mark II, we would all be spewing and rightly so.

I am less cross about this retirement now (terrible pun, sorry!) So glad that this incredibly well respected and professional athlete is sticking around to help our up and coming list get the best out of themselves.

I have always respected Pavlich enormously, and even though Reiwold annoys me, they are both great captains. Jobe Watson looks like a man who is about to board a plane and never return. I felt very sorry for him, he seems like he is really struggling and you can't blame him.

Fyfe and Cale Morton played on each other as kids. Fyfe clearly poisoned Morton's Milo and stole all the talent for himself. We were this close to recruiting the right player. Apart from his questionable hair, Fyfe is an amazing player and a great guy. Really glad to see him win. Spoke well, humble, sense of humor. Straight swap for M Jones. Get onto it.
