Lets hope pick 3 ends up better than Toumpas, or many of the other early picks we have had that went bust I wish we could attract actual ready made A grade players, but I recognise that not even players at our own club are always keen to stay in it, so we have little chance of attracting good players with multiple options.

If we manage to keep Hogan, everyone at the club deserves a big [censored] medal... Perhaps even a premiership medal!

What really hurts is that once again we have [censored] up a top 10 pick. They should just stop giving them to us. Or better still we should stop being crap at football so we stop getting them. Oh and also that spud Henderson is apparently worth more than Howe. I die.

Just once I want to come out first in something. We basically traded Toumpas for pick 50, three seasons after investing pick 4 into him. I would rather back him in and delist him in two years than take a punt on pick 50. I wish him luck and I wish Howe failure.

Wait, nothing has been confirmed yet right? Lets wait for official trade confirmation before we all go nuts. If however the deal above is correct, than as per usual, we got screwed by stronger clubs and [censored] players changing their mind and playing games with us.

I think we did the right thing letting him go, I just question the timing. I would think we could have waited until after trade week to delist him. He may have netted us nothing, or he could have been a deal sweetener for a club. Now we'll never know. Still, I wish him the best and hope he gets another chance somewhere.

Kent is very important to our structure and is a very good player. However I read the article on our website about his injury and I'm really worried about his fitness and ability to get back to 100% full speed going forward. Sounds like a very nasty injury. This still takes nothing away from his talent. He is a very good player when he isn't injured.

If his recruitment alone makes Salem a better player and a midfielder, it was worth it. I rate Salem only behind Hogan & Brayshaw for talent* *Apologies to Petracca- waiting to see him in action

2016 1st round pick and Kennedy for Howe? I don't like this future draft picks trading, but we can't get much more from them given they are trying to get Treloar.

They got one of the best players in the AFL, of course they are materially improved their list. Who is arguing otherwise? I am not sure how much Selwood or Henderson will help, as both are only average players. But anyone who gets an A+ grade midfielder is bound to see improvement in their list.

Makes me sick seeing Geelong rack up players at will. Not that Henderson or Selwood are great players, but they seem to be getting all the deals done while it's all silent on our end. We can't even get the Melksham deal done, and nobody is even interested in him FFS!

My Essendon friend just laughed at me over the trade. It's been a long time since he's had any reason to laugh. I don't like it.

Clark has been a bust, but we were criminally screwed in that trade given Clark's potential ceiling. He came with high risk, high reward factor. Lumumba has also been a massive disappointment. He was a low risk low reward.

I read the first 6 words and nearly vomited Salem to play midfield. Salem NOT moving anywhere. Phew!

It sounds like overs to me, but only because his form the last two seasons stinks

If you've ever been to China and had the misfortune of driving (or being driven rather), this is pretty much a standard day. I once spent 4 hours being driven 40km across Shanghai. It was slower than watching Melbourne climb up the ladder.
