I may just do the paper bag head...

I put round 10 but I will never doubt the ability of the MFC to sink to further depths.

Concerning fun fact of the half-century: last winless team was 1964.

Throw a blanket over 15 players on the list. None of them are good enough.

DEMONLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR - ROUND TWO

Which Healy?

So there's another F/S on the way. Jake Lovett, son of Brett, is playing for the Dandenong Stingrays in the TAC Cup. He's draft eligible in 2015. Looks like 2016 could be a bit back-to-the-80s with Viney, Stretch and Lovett all possibly lining up in red and blue.

Not saying he won't be. It was more of a different play. Closer to how a tagger interacts with their target than a forward/defender relationship.
-
I noticed him at one point during the third term. When trying to get anywhere near the contest the Saints were getting right into him with little digs and elbows, bumping him around and making him uncomfortable. Coupled with his lack of a clear run at any ball and the lack of decent forwards (he probably had the #1 defender a lot of the time) and it's not too much of a surprise.

JKH shouldn't have been the sub. Pure and simple. We don't have the 'mosquito fleet' because we don't have the ground speed. Dude has done well in the pre-season, but he had situations where he didn't know where to run or move. I'm not saying it's for good, but he really isn't ready for H&A standard footy. Pedersen was awful. Plainly awful. Had no confidence in his goalkicking WHEN HE IS PLAYING AT FULL FORWARD. Inexcusable. Byrnes was better but was typified by running back into traffic in the midfield halfway through the second, getting caught and watching us nearly give up the pill, then getting it back in a similar fashion a minute later streaming I50 only to butcher the kick to the contest and miss it entirely. And Bail, as I said. 22 touches, sure. What did he do? All I could remark of him was taking a mark 60+m out from goal and then missing a target. Three or four times.
-
OUT: Pederson (dont slam the door on the way out buddy) JKH (simply not ready, deer in headlights) Byrnes (offers so little it's not even funny) Bail (could one player butcher so many opportunities? Apparently so) IN: Gawn (play him at FF as a stopgap, Maxy's pretty good up forward) Blease (green vest) Viney (give him the 'forward opportunity' you talked about Roosy) Kent (replacement for Bail in the midfield rotation, offers similar disposal but more run)

See you all next year. Look, the midfield was good. Watts was good. Tyson, Jones x2, Watts, Cross, Vince all had good nights. But the disturbing part was THAT WAS IT. I thought our backline would improve once the I50 numbers dropped - instead we leaked like a sieve to midfielders and let [censored] Eli Templeton destroy us. I thought we'd sweep really well out of defence, instead we often bogged down or continued to kick long in hope and contest it out. The saving grace, really, was that St Kilda have so many [censored] second stringers. We're still so very bad. We really, really are. And we are so far back. Right now, I don't see us winning a game. Tonight was the crack. Sure, they'll improve. But who are we going to beat, really? The Giants? Doubtful with how they've played. The Suns? They're a finals contender. The Lions? Played a lot better than us today. I have us stone cold motherless last. And it's not even close.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Striker475 replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is entirely possible. Same rules that have lead cycling teams to be thrown off the world tour. -

Nope. She's a public service CEO. Formerly at Centrelink. Really just another bureaucrat. -

Players. Club can be sanctioned under the regs because it breaches the number-of-competitors rule - same rules which they use to kick cycling teams off the world tour. Whether they go down this path is to be decided. Also, the CEO leaving is a nothing thing - ASADA is designed to operate without one. -

Spoke to my ASADA source just then again. They're gawn. Matter of time. -
My source tells me that they're not far wrong and the Dons are stuffed. Been saying it for months too.

Rollo, I'm good to go now if you still want me - the gut bug has gone and I'm firing (although not exactly fit!)
-
I'll be there rollo but might not be able to play - come down with a nasty gut problem so it's a bit wait-and-see right now.

In for sure.
