When has that stopped others? Maybe wait until season's end, but beyond that I'd say he's fair game.

Now, there's the other problem. I think we need to fix the culture by bringing back someone who knows the club and loves the club. Furthermore, it could be a spark to re-enfranchise other players who were mistreated by Bailey. For a start, I think we should give serious thought to offering Junior the midfield coach role. Royal can't coach. Junior not only knows many of the players, but he would also generate immediate respect from them as their former captain. Furthermore, he's only recently out of the game, and thus knows what is expected. From there, we can look at folding through other players. The likes of Bruce, Yze and White should all be brought back as mentors. Say what you will about the inconsistency of the Melbourne sides of the 00s, they bloody well could play. And all those blokes weren't Trappa lazy either - they worked their arses off to make sure they were fit and firing. Thoughts?

Should go back and play basketball. He'd demolish at NBL, hell maybe even NBA level, especially with an AFL-ish physique.

Not fair on Daniher tbf. Also, some of them are good. And some of them can be good - when they want to. It's more than just a 'not being good'.

Media crisis mode shows time.

Link for those interested.

That'd be it for me I think.

Is there a way to do it in-season, through an EGM? Or do we have to wait until the AGM? Also, how do we put together a ticket better than both the current one and the whole McNamee garbage pile.

I'm in. You'll find be by the bar around Q51 for the next six months...

Sticking by it. Don't know why. Maybe so I can shove it up the rest of them if we become good again. Maybe because I'm just an idiot.

Colin Sylvia. I'm sick of his defenders. I'm sick of seeing his half-arsed efforts. He can play, but you'd be lucky to get it out of him for one game in ten. Let the UFA come, hopefully someone gives him big bucks so we can get a first-rounder out of it.

I'm going with mates, I'm probably going to drink myself stupid and hurl abuse at every single one of them if they squib it. And they bloody well deserve it. I turn up to support if they deserve support. I'll support a JV, a Clark, a Jones. I won't support Sylvia doing SFA all night.

I will demand consistency. Until they compete on a weekly basis we are still in the doldrums. A win is well and good. Three on the trot and I'd be impressed.

What do we do then? Tempted to hang a banner from the Olympic, probably will lose it to security.

The problem for me is they don't get it. It's just a job for you, sure. But it's much more for many of us. Their work week culminates in match day. Our work week is 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, and then we CHOOSE to go and SPEND OUR MONEY to WATCH THEM. There's a bit of an expectation there of a minimum standard as a result. If you open a restaurant and serve up roadkill, you're not going to get many people through the door.

We do need a line in the sand moment right now. Seriously. I don't care if we lose 12 players to suspension and they cop $100,000 in fines. Get out there and just whack someone. Throw Essendon off not by playing, but by running into them, going the extra oomph in the tackle, making the sneaky jab in the ribs behind play. Play dirty. Start a melee. Then start another, and another. At least show you're willing to fight in the jumper, if you're not willing to play in it.

You'll certainly hear one very angry phone call to the Ox come around 5pm Tuesday, I promise you that much.

Would we be able to get together a ticket to challenge the board, through a combination of non-political MFC supporters? Put the club first in all regards.
-
Yes. No matter what, this is still our club. I can put up with heartache, but that would be heartbreak.

not a half bad idea

I wish I was still in America.
