  1. The carpark? We're the poor bastards who tried to go to the Prom the day after all those rains.
  2. OUT: Jetta simply for that dropped mark in the 3rd qtr, Maric IN: Gysberts and Wonna The wish would be OUT: Bailey IN: Roos, but that won't happen yet.
  3. Yeah, actually. To see a side come out and get thoroughly dominated to the extent where you know there's a gulf in class between the two is okay, because you know there are reasons for it. To watch them come out, take the game on to the extent where we led by 25 points at one point in the second quarter, only to basically watch our backs ping it to a contest over and over again for a quarter and a half before giving up and leaving was terrible. I have honestly, honestly never been angrier as a Melbourne supporter. Never.
  4. You can't forgive your situation though. I was shattered at the draw last season in the same situation against Collingwood. Regardless of the scoring shots, at half time the Dees were in front and playing superbly. Yet by the end of the third quarter it was literally game over. In the end, if you're in the game you've got to take your opportunities. And while yes, there was the hype, I did have my own pre-formed expectations of finals football based on results last season. But to concede like that puts us well into the bottom half of the table, and that is what worries me for a side that should well be taking the big boys on.
  5. Absolutely. It was right to give him another year at the end of last season. I was disappointed (hoped for 10 wins last season) but not overly so last year, considering the 2 Collingwood games and the Bulldogs umpires debacle. If we don't make at least that mark and he gets another year there is something seriously wrong.
  6. They didn't quit last week and I was surprised, as compared to the Bulldogs, Freo and North games last year. Dealing with the club getting smashed by a better side is fine, but Hawthorn were not all that much better. We had them on the ropes and then just rolled over.
  7. Hawthorn had 20 scoring shots in a QUARTER. Not because they were bigger and tougher, but because we were USELESS. Noone was leading to the kick-ins, the crumbing was terrible, there was no support around the ball. Time and time again Melbourne HAD THE BALL yet it travelled in the WRONG direction. We're talking players that have a few years in the system now in many cases, and in particular senior players. The best player on the ground was Tapscott which is hugely telling about the way Melbourne played. We can keep making excuses or we can start demanding results. Bailey has been in charge for three years, it's time for the latter.
  8. If he drops one there damn well should be. We're playing a Brown-less Brisbane followed by a bunch of kids and Gary Ablett. If we drop both, he's out the door, see you later.
  9. Neale Daniher after 3 seasons put us in a Grand Final. Bailey has 13 wins to his name for the same timespan. I'm sorry, but you've got to realise at some point that that's the end of it, and I'm at the end of my tether.
  10. It was worse than that. In the second half noone was leading. The Tap kicked it out on one occasion to Garland, Garland wasn't leading at all. Just standing there really. Hawk in front, Hawk behind. Luckily he managed to get it out of bounds THAT time - but it probably turned around and ended up a score anyway. It almost seemed like, well, LAZINESS.
  11. I'm sorry, but no more excuses. He has had command of this group for a long time. He should have the group at his beck and call by now. Instead, we have a continuation of the side showing so much potential but delivering nothing. The pressure is no excuse, we made Hawthorn look lethargic and play a Carlton circa-2007 style kick-to-kick at the end of the first half, that's how dominant we were. A loss to Hawthorn where we got smashed I could deal with, even expected to an extent based on recent form. To LEAD at half time when we clearly had the upper hand, then come out into the second half and show absolutely NOTHING speaks volumes of what influence the coaching staff have upon the playing group.
  12. Was worse than that, at least one Hawthorn shot was out on the full, we thought it was 3 or 4 but admittedly we were in the GSS
  13. Sack Bailey. I am over it. I am over the excuses. I am over watching my club seek to inspire but then show a lack of desire. I am over losses like the preseason loss to Essendon and this loss. Never in my life of following this football club have I seen a more terrible quarter of football.
  14. If Melbourne lose EITHER of the next two games he is gone and I will be writing to the club requesting either his resignation or his sacking at the end of the season to be replaced by one of Mick Malthouse or Paul Roos. No more excuses.
  15. If you were listening to AW you probably heard me crack it on my way home. Anyway... - For a side to come out being IN FRONT at half time and capitulate to that extent is unforgivable. - Bailey must go. There is not anything resembling any heart in this football side. We have the legend himself, Jim Stynes, as president. We have the ability to get men like Ron Barassi and Garry Lyon down to help this football club UNDERSTAND what it must be. Yet the players do not understand and shirk away in the face of a challenge. - Jetta is not good enough. - I have never left a Melbourne game before the final siren until tonight. The Koo Wee Rup Seconds (no offence to anyone who lives/plays for Koo Wee Rup) would have done a better job against Hawthorn than that bunch of prima donnas.
