WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
Little Richard replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Me too. Was very much hoping we'd draft him back then. Perhaps it's worked out for the best though. If we were to send Howe over to Collingwood, I'm not sure I'd be content with just Kennedy back. Does have potential but is very unproven. -
Craigalicious gets around.
-
Exactly. It's not 'the next few years' yet, and these guys will take time to develop. In the meantime, we'll improve a lot if we can continue to recruit some players of a very good standard. No doubt that will aid the development of our young guns.

Gary Ablett really annoys me when he speaks. Just sayin'.
-
Lol. Is it necessary to mention that? There are enough ridiculous trades suggested on Demonland to last a lifetime.

2015 Player Review - # 8 Heritier Lumumba
Little Richard replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree Daz. It must be very difficult for a player to have to come into a completely different outfit and learn a new style and gameplan, as well as adjust to having different types of players around him. H is a talented footballer and I think he'll be a bigger contributor next season. Looking forward to it. -
Or a truckload of something else?
-
I'm fairly sure that was Brendan McCarthy he bumped into.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Little Richard replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
As long as Roos is around the club, the Kennedy rumour will continue to be a popular one. Would love him but am yet to see any indication that this might well happen. Which could in fact be a good sign. -
When I take a bit of 'me' time, I usually spend it on other sites.

It didn't really take you three minutes to read that, did it Daz?

And I thought my Friday couldn't get any better. Great news. -

And highly unlikely I'd think. -

Yet to sign, despite the thread on him extending his contract. Looking more and more likely every day. I wonder what we will get for him? -
Clutching at very fine straws, but I noticed there was no mention of Geelong in the statement. lol.

Have to pull you up on that one, Daz. Sir Donald George Bradman was in fact a rather unorthodox batsman, and made most of his runs from cross bat shots such as the pull and cut.

Straight up the guts and don't bugger around on them flanks.

Spencer White delisted from St Kilda after a couple of years. I remember hearing a lot of hype around him - worth a look at all? -

If his form continues from this season, he still remains best 22 for me. That is unless others surpass him or we trade and draft very well. Despite that, I wouldn't be opposed at all to us trading him... seems like that door is closed now though.

May fly direct to Avalon.

How do you know what we are doing daz? I think it's all very much kept under wraps at the MFC these days and very little is leaked. In reality, we have no idea who they are speaking to or targeting. For all we know, the whole Melksham situation could be a smokescreen for something else... at least I hope.

Get it done, if the rumours are true. I wouldn't be totally disappointed to give up pick 6 for Hartlett, but I'd hope we could push them for Hartlett and ND10 for ND6 and something else.

I'd love for one of our 'spuds' that we retain for next season, such as a Matt Jones, to really turn their career completely around and become a very important best 22 player. Doesn't happen very often at the MFC, but this would just show how much our development has improved in the last couple of years.
