  1. It's difficult to gauge much at all through highlights. I'm positive that if someone cut together a highlight reel of Jordie McKenzie's, it would show a ferociously tackling competitive beast. Any clip of him kicking the ball would have to be cut out though. We'll have to wait and see, really. But I'm confident that all three will play quite a bit of football in the seniors next season.
  2. Here's hoping that we have our eye on another potential tall to fill a rookie spot. Otherwise, it might have been handy to hold onto Fitz and rookie him. Edit: Thanks for your service FitzGerald.
  3. Curnow at 3 and a midfielder at 7 would be a great result. Curnow being able to play forward and rotate through the middle. His flexibility and size as a forward (not too big, but not undersized) would be a beautiful compliment to Hogan. A forward line of Hogan, a rotating Curnow and a resting ruckman excites me immensely.
  4. An enormous LOL at those flogs that were bagging out Mahoney before the trade period had even ended. We've come out on top, out of all the clubs. Sensational work from the MFC.
  5. They are fairly different players IMO. Wouldn't mind either of them though!
  6. Great deal, considering our first rounder in 2016 should be pick 18. Go MFC!
  7. That's interesting. I assumed he was injured after round 10 or whenever he was dropped. His form was a little patchy but not too bad.
  8. Didn't realise that Bugg had played 65 games. I'm of the opinion that our net gain this period will prove to be pretty good. Despite what some say, all three of Melksham, Kennedy and Bugg will be best 22 contributors next season. Even if they aren't, they'll be fringe at worst and competing harder for spots than Toumpas would have, or Howe should have.
  9. I can think of many phrases to describe Steve Johnson, but 'missed opportunity is absolutely not one of them.
  10. Toumpas is no longer a top 5 pick - he's a player that struggles to get a game in a side that sits in the bottom third of the ladder. No use valuing him by the number we took him in the draft. If that deal occurs, we should be big winners.
  11. I don't. Wish I did though, might make this a little less boring.
  12. Yeah... look, I'm not going to take back my comments as that is how I feel. Hindsight is a difficult thing. I probably would have been up and about with that clip when it was made, but I didn't see it then. So, the only perspective I have of it is in the now, and that's my impression of it, sorry. I'll make a clip when we are doing well and forward you a link, personally.
  13. Wowee. That is almost pathetic. I hope the person that made that refrains from making another one until we at least make the top four, talk about premature.
  14. I seem to remember an AFL team management game where the players and draft picks were valued in a very similar way during the simulation trade period. Think it was called AFL Premiership Coach 2010.
  15. Did the legendary Michael 'Juice' Newton ever make the banner?
  16. Over 100 games at 24 is a good achievement. He becomes a walk up start to our 22 and I think will flourish in a new, fresh environment. Pick 25 is a fair price to pay for that.
  17. Probably the twentieth time that joke has been posted in the last 48 hours. And it still isn't funny.
  18. Give it a rest and reserve your judgement for 2016, when we actually see his output for the MFC. I think most of us will be pleasantly surprised. No point sooking right now.
  19. As satisfying as it might be to put Howe in the draft, I'd rather we nut it out for a few days so that we actually get some decent compensation.
  20. I'd have thought that was the image Olisik has of himself.
  21. Time will tell on that one. On face value and considering Bennell's immense talent, it looks a very good deal for them.
