Realistic 23 for 2026
Surely our I50 delivery would improve with Salem playing at half forward.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
A really sad end to a stellar MFC career - one of our greatest, no doubt. Hope King knows what he's doing.

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Definitely worth a look, especially if someone at the MFC is confident they can help improve his disposal.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I just feel sad about this whole situation, it'll feel so wrong to me seeing Clarry finish his career at another club.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Personally losing Clarry hits harder than Petracca, I really thought he was coming good towards the end of the season and would have a spot in the team moving forward. Sad end for a guy who will always be an MFC champion and one of the best players to ever wear the red and blue. Not expecting us to get much at all for him.

2025 Player Reviews: #46 Jai Culley
Excellent signs in the handful of games he played, think he's got a bright future.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Keep Clarry, trade out Petracca.

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
We're officially under the dome! Let's go Kingy.

Farewell Charlie Spargo
Great offensive weapon at his best. Hope he finds that form again and can work through those injuries. Sad to see him go, but all the best Spargs!

Jimmy Bartel
He'd be a great acquisition, hope we can get him.

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Hopefully that's the case, we need those kinds of leaders around as the club transitions into a new era.

GAMEDAY: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
How sweet it would be... great last round coming up.

POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
That's a phenomenal stat

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Tough loss but not disappointed with that - excellent effort against a quality side and the players looked reinvigorated. Really liked Chaplin's use of Petty and Disco, right away he's more flexible with those guys than Goodwin appeared willing to be on game day.

Farewell Charlie Spargo
At his best he's a super important cog in the scoring machine, smartest player going inside 50 bar Melksham. Hoping he can get back to that form, so I would retain him.

Simon Goodwin respect thread.
Forever an MFC legend, and so close to being a two-time premiership coach. I truly hope he enjoys some time off and then finds another role where he thrives. No doubt another club will come knocking at his door for some kind of role. Thanks for everything Goody.

Simon Goodwin Sacked
We needed change but I feel pretty sad for him and the club right now, never good when it ends like this. All the best Simon and thank you.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Richmond, North and WCE. He looks a million bucks against these weaker teams but needs to carry that confidence into games against better opposition.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Hard to know how much to take out of this game. A win is a win so that’s nice. Goal kicking much improved and a solid debut from Culley. Kids are looking pretty good and Oliver looked like he had some of his intent back, I'd really love to see him finish strong this season and carry that into next year.

Load up!

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
Agreed that we are absolutely desperate and he's a good fit for our forward line right now. I think two years would be enough, three too much.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Where do we expect him to line up? Didn't realise he was so tall.

Time to go Goody?
The 'hard edge' to the club's decision making is still all talk though, let's see what action they actually take. Simply getting rid of Richardson will not be enough (he should have gone last year anyway, after the Petracca situation).

State of Origin
I would actually love a Champions League type tournament every year amongst state leagues. They could play it over the 3-week bye period - get the top xx teams from each state based on results from the past season, maybe two from SA, WA and VIC and the other spots made up from the other states/territories. Play a knockout-style tournament over those few weeks and crown a winner. Maybe the AFL could even dish out some significant prize money to the winning club. Personally, I think that would be a heap of fun.
