Delistings/trades at end of the season
Little Richard replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can be a solid player, as he was today. Calling him a 'champion of the game' epitomises the bipolar attitude of Demonland. -
16 point victory to the mighty Dees.
-
Jeez. It actually seems like there is an Ah Chee in literally every draft year.
-
If it's him, he plays for Glenelg. 28 I think... not sure why he has popped up in a drafting discussion. Not the kind of player I'd want us to go for at this stage.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Little Richard replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Dixon officially requesting a trade. Port looking likely as his final destination. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-06/dixon-quits-the-suns-to-seek-trade -
To be fair, I doubt he would have had many other options. Natanui is a better player, but Watts possesses some fantastic skills that Naitanui will never have. I've made my peace with the whole situation and hope Jack stays at the MFC. Unless the right deal comes along, of course.

It's been more Martin having the number one ruck role than anything else.

This has become a total farce. The game last night was disgusting to watch. Fans already being stripped of value for what they pay, get served up this rubbish.

M Jones is a list clogger and has battled for games all year. Jack has been one of our best and most consistent performers. I don't see it as exactly the same at all. I'm not necessarily saying that I think he will be traded, I'm just interested in why, and that no reason was mentioned.

What I'm saying, is that I thought they would have mentioned something about why, as they usually do - and Jack has been playing pretty well all season. I'd be very interested if it were any of our well performing players. It's close to trade time, so I think that there will always be speculation no matter the player, if they are omitted in round 23 with no explanation. Note: Isn't there a segment on DeeTV about selection, usually?

Worth the discussion, seeing as there's been no mention of a reason at all. Usually they'll say something if he has a niggle, or they're just wanting to rest him. Why do you think he was dropped?

Definitely weird on face value. Hopefully Jack has a niggle that the coach staff see as not worth testing this week. Hardly think they'd put in the hard work to finally see him producing some good results, to trade him straight away.

Cool story Hansel. -
Paul Roos heralds more onfield changes at Demons
Little Richard replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
According to Roos last year, Watts was in the top 3 players for distance racked up on the field so I don't think his running work is in question, personally. -
Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...

I'm sure Lyon would have been included in Roos' assessment of negativity. -

Happy Friday! -
Pretty interesting proposal, don't mind it. PS: Love the signature 'fork'.

You've basically summarised my feelings AF. I've always liked Col and my initial vote on this poll was to keep, but after paying more attention to him this season, I'm now convinced that we'll probably be better off without him. His disposal can be extremely frustrating, as it seems all he knows is those stupid up and under kicks that leave the receiving team mate in no man's land for far too long. Doesn't look composed when he has the ball either, and is one (of many) who dishes out handballs to stationary players on a consistent basis. Not entirely his fault, but he often does not take the smartest option.

Taylor Adams, Josh Caddy.
-
Yes, and unfortunately quite a few of them get their way.
-
It's a good summary and gives some hope, but those teams have all been serious contenders while these players have been developing. Unfortunately young players can't develop quietly at a team like ours, because they'll stand out with all the other 'underperforming' players.
-
Teams shouldn't be allowed to rest players en masse full stop. It's not in the spirit of the game - sides should always be trying to win, else the point of the game (to entertain) is missed.

Really annoys me how kids can come out of their first contract and basically demand a trade to their club of choice these days.
