  1. Pathetic reporting! Did this gimp even watch the incident?
  2. They'll both get off. The first time I saw the Mitchell incident it looked like a closed fist jab to the jaw, but from another angle you can clearly see it's open palm and not that hard. Jack was giving it to him first, anyway.
  3. The price for Hurley would be hard to meet. Dogs still have their first rounder for this season, don't they? I'm not sure we'd be able to get him here unless the deal involved a very good quality player leaving the MFC.
  4. I'd like to see him break into the seniors and do well, but at the moment he is one of our best prospects as trade bait.
  5. Jack doesn't need the captaincy. He can lead in his own way, and should remain focussed on his game.
  6. Looked like he definitely went the man and not the ball, and was pretty high. I only saw it a couple of times though so no in depth analysis has been conducted.
  7. [censored] hell! Just got home after numerous celebratory froffies. What a win. Watts is a genuine gun, Viney is a star and our next captain, Oscar McDonald has a big future, Billy Stretch will play 200 games and we are a better team with Cam Pedersen.
  8. AFL Players Association would never allow/agree to this, but it's how it should be.
  9. Ridiculous request Bossdog, I am positive that Saturday afternoon, no matter how Weed goes, some posters will [censored] can him. That's how this whole thing works. But I'm wishing the best of luck to him, and am looking forward to seeing him in action.
  10. They need good players and Prestia is a very good player. He'll be a good addition for them if they can seal the deal.
  11. He said 'could take up to 6 months', which does seem a little strange but contract negotiations can take time. Call me a pessimist but I won't rest easy until he has put pen to paper.
  12. I honestly forgot about Pedersen. He's a much better option than Dawes if fit, and I do agree that Hawthorn probably isn't the team you want to blood a young player against. Especially a key forward.
  13. Sounds like a complete 180 from his form at the beginning of the year. I'd like to see Hulett debut before Weideman, but not sure either will this week as Dawes was serviceable on Sunday.
  14. Hibberd would be a great addition, and you can probably add Vince to the half back group. Anyone know if Hibberd has played through the middle at all at Essendon?
  15. That club is a basket case. I love it.
  16. Some of the best hands in close that we have, no doubt about it. As you say, a lot of those vital possessions are missed.
  17. It definitely didn't affect his dominance in tap outs, he won those 60 - 9. Wasn't as effective in the air though.
  18. As 'experts' constantly say, teams aren't at their best until there's an average of about 100 games from each player. By then most of them have obviously played together for quite a while, and we're a few years off that point. I think we're doing very well considering the age and games profile of the side.
  19. One of our best runners, works bloody hard all day.
  20. Due to pick up a new jumper next week. Number 29 will be going on the back.
  21. Hurley is the better player, but not by miles. At this stage though I'd say McDonald has more value on the trade table. Two years younger, hasn't just missed a full year of football and whilst inconsistent, has a heap of potential to be the best defender in the game. And will have played 100 games on Sunday afternoon.
