  1. I seem to recall that in the last couple of years he was the player who usually recorded the most kilometres per game?
  2. [censored]. Well, the most important thing is his health. So I really hope he can sort that out and get back to a good place before he thinks about playing again. Would love to see him back out there though.
  3. The potential to hit that mark was there last year and people do pay for potential - look at the WBD and the ball and chain that is Tom Boyd. But I like to think we won't make a call like that because we don't have the luxury yet.
  4. And are people actually that desperate for a tiny sliver of information that they actually believe it, and that the information was acquired by lipreading via the TV? Trolling.
  5. Thought White was great against GWS last year and his footskills were very good. Surprised to have not seen him so far this year but I suppose it shows how far we've come in terms of depth.
  6. To say that he's only at minimum levels is a little harsh, but it really depends on how you rate him as a player because he's doing well and truly more than enough to warrant selection each week. In terms of his ceiling, I think he can be a lot better. But he's tracking very well this season. Further to that, it's not just that more quality players around the ball are helping JW. He has found a toughness in the contest that I wasn't so sure he possessed. He's going hard at the ball, chasing harder than every before and it's showing in his overall performance. Jack's development this year has made me very, very happy.
  7. Can never have enough mids, and it amazes me when people say that Prestia is surplus to requirements. Ridiculous.
  8. A film called 'The Loneliest Planet' will never leave me. Atrocious movie with a storyline that could have been told in 5 minutes, with one particular scene involving an establishing landscape shot that lasted about 4 minutes. Half a dozen people left the cinema when it was playing and I was almost number 7. Other notable mentions... Only God Forgives, American Sniper, Anchorman 2 and most superhero movies ever produced.
  9. Bugg is doing a great job, but please tell me more, I'm very intrigued.
  10. Not exactly like you contributed much to the discussion before this anyway...
  11. Which can also be put down in part to Collingwood's horrible kicking I50. There is still a ton of work to be done by the back line and the fact that Jetta was left alone on Jesse White numerous times shows that there's a way to go. But Sam Frost was solid today and is playing where he should always have been playing.
  12. Yep, is still as tough as any of our other guys. Needs to find a little bit of pace but is tracking well. So great to see him back out there and the boys getting around him after that goal was a beautiful sight.
  13. Great to win on such an important day, but I was pretty disappointed with a lot of our play. Very messy at times and a lot of horrendous turnovers. But a win is a win, and a win over Collingwood is better than most. If we can get some consistency and play like we did in that second quarter, we might push closer to the 8 than many think. Go Dees.
  14. Not a chance. If a trade had to happen, which it wouldn't because he'll remain at Melbourne, Fyfe or Lachie Neale have to come into it. We wouldn't give Hogan away for a pick and two spuds.
  15. Yep, that's what it's all about. The 3:20 timeslot kind of works well with the walk from Fed Square though. Time for lunch and a couple of refreshing beverages, then to watch the Dees hammer the Pies into the turf.
  16. Makes the Garlett omission a little more interesting. Hopefully Jayden Hunt will have a good day breaking away from those bigger blokes.
  17. Some days his marking is fantastic, others it's not so good and he just doesn't seem to get to as many contests. He has only just ticked over 50 games so it's possible that he's experiencing some fatigue... he'd be close to the most games played in a season already this year, wouldn't he?
  18. That forward line of Collingwood's is absolute trash. Should be an interesting battle between their forwards and our backs.
  19. Have to say I thought Jeff would play this week. Here's hoping he lights it up at Casey!
  20. When people are quoting dictionary meanings, it's time to leave the thread.
  21. The lad is made of concrete, what a machine. Really hope he plays, so long as he isn't risking something more long term.
  22. Jeez, people are quick to turn on Garlett. He has been sensational for the vast majority of his time at Melbourne, and is the best small forward we've had in years. The form slump won't last and I'm confident he'll turn it on this week.
  23. But we're still exposed without that other big, seasoned defender. Hurley would be a god send and even Nathan Brown would bolster our back line considerably.
