  1. Great post and it would be fantastic if Toumpas developed into the kind of player that any of those guys are, except for Gibbs who is nowhere near as good as he should be. If Toumpas ended up like Gibbs it would be a terrible waste. All this doubting Toumpas talk is absolutely pathetic and typical of Melbourne supporters.
  2. I think we'll get done, but it will be with a lot more fight than usual. 3-5 goal loss. Hopefully I'm wrong and we belt them by 37 goals, Gary Ablett leaves the Suns to come to us and I win the lotto.
  3. That is so good. My love for Pedersen just grew immensely.
  4. Forget what people say, I'll be booing that lying traitor until the day he hangs up his boots.
  5. As well as that his leading was very good. Fast and demanded the footy. His hands are much stronger seemingly in the last few weeks, I guess that's the confidence after he dominated in the twos.
  6. In an off field capacity I am ecstatic to have him at the club. Now I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do on the field. Hopefully emulates Clark circa 2012...
  7. Just watched the fourth quarter again last night and Sylvia was so so good. It frustrates me so much seeing these glimpses of potential, he could be absolutely anything. Imagine the work ethic of James Magner with the talent of Colin Sylvia.
  8. I believe because we struggled over the worst team in the league until the last quarter and I think we will be lucky to win more than 5 games this year, the odds are fair.
  9. Eddie is an absolute [censored] but he really knows how to get under peoples skin. Wouldn't mind him as Melbournes president to be honest as he gets the job done though I still wouldn't like him.
  10. Give them a couple of weeks and they'll be copping it. Ps. H_T all over it!
  11. It will really benefit the young fellas playing together at Casey and consistently winning. This will enable us to form a winning core of players for the future, namely Hogan, Magner, Toumpas, Tynan and Taggert. As for Kent, he hasn't been doing it defensively and Neeld has stated this. Fair enough, make him work even harder for his spot and make a better player of him.
  12. Loosen up champ, we need a bit of a joke around with all the crap happening lately.
  13. I like Matt Jones very much and I think he has a huge amount of potential. Tommy Mac.. I always forget he was a pick 50 odd.
  14. Not just the toughness but the aggression also (from Nev too) was awesome to see. It's been far too long since we've had a player who really loves to get in everyone's grill and when he is the size of Tappy it's even better.
  15. The same could be said for the whole forum!
  16. I really like this idea. Great skills and evasiveness are his strength and would be better utilised on the wing. He just has to back himself more and kick when he gets the ball instead of always looking to pass it off by hands, which I saw countless times yesterday. Also some of that pace that he supposedly has would be a nice spectacle.
  17. To me that doesn't really justify the thread. I think this thread if continued will be focussed more on Howes contract status and likelihood of staying at the dees.
  18. Whats the point? He's at the dees and will be for a long time.
  19. Very few players can kick it like him and the GWS blokes you saw do it probably got lucky.
  20. I had the same thought today! He is a really hard worker and loves the tough stuff. People can bag Neeld all they like about his game day coaching (which obviously needs improvement) but I think the guys he has brought into the club via the drafts are exactly the guys we need - tough and willing to do the hard yards to get better. No Morton's on Neelds watch.
