  1. Matthews .... Peter Giles also says hi ... Totally agree with everyone's comments about Robbie. Unbelievably skillful, and so brave. Never shirked a contest, often to his the detriment of his wellbeing. RIP Robbie.
  2. I think his leads have been overlooked for quite a few years.
  3. I'm not sure who the demented giggler is on that show with Hutchinson, Pickering et al. It's pathetic. Unlistenable, so I don't don't. I liked Dr Turf though. Met him at the football once. Nice guy. Demons supporter too. He only works on radio because he enjoys it. He is very, very wealthy.
  4. Frost is sadly missed. Not a great player. But he is tall and really fast. Really need him for the St Kilda match.
  5. Regleg. I qualify my earlier statement. Lyon was my favourite player during the period that Robbie wasn't playing!! I totally agree with you. No one comes close to Robbie (RIP).
  6. Never liked King as a player. Sniper. However, he turned up to my son's Auskick (years ago). He was really good with the kids. I rated that. On that topic, Richo turned up another time. Needless to say he was a ripper. Lance Whitnall another time. He was totally clueless, and had no ability to interact with the kids at all. And certainly looked like he was doing it under sufferance. Garry Lyon turned up another time to hand out trophies or certificates at Auskick (about 2000). His attitude was appalling; had "I wish I wasnt here" written all over his face. In the circumstances, he did neither himself, nor the kids any favours. He was my favourite player. That performance and subsequent behaviour ... hmmm
  7. For the purposes of certainty (putting on my lawyer hat), Oliver (the player) reminds me of Voss (the player).
  8. He played in 4 GFs. The 1989 GF was obviously an incredible performance. But I recall that of the other 3, one was ok, and the other 2 weren't great. FWIW Carey performed in every GF he played in.
  9. Clearly a s@#t bloke, but Carey's the best player I've seen. Performed in the big matches. Ablett was a freak (of course), but his GF record slightly let him down.
  10. I suspect other teams will target him physically next season.
  11. I love him. (In a blokey kind of way.)
  12. As much as I hold Hird in low regard, I wish him all the best for a full recovery.
  13. Can't believe anyone could omit Robbie from their list!! Well, perhaps the young uns who didn't see him play have an excuse. I loved Garry Lyon as a player. But as a bloke ... hmm. So I guess that's why not many posters have not included him in their lists.
  14. I saw Madderlake at the Trak venue about 4 years ago. They were really good. They opened with the Salmon Song. Of course they did their biggest hit 12 lb toothbrush. But best of all they played/sang my favourite ML song Song for Little Earnest. I play in an 80s cover band. I know Madderlake's former manager. She and Madderlake's bass player (Kerry McKenna) came to our last gig. Hello. Is anyone still reading this?
  15. Sniffers. STFU you disgusting pig dogs Eaters. Particularly of stinky food. And/or those who make disgusting squelching noises. Farters. People who talk very loudly on their mobile phones. People, usually blokes, and usually fat, who wont move across from the aisle seat, so I have to push past them unnecessarily. People who dont make any effort to move their legs when you have to push past them. (My approach is simply to bang into their knees.) Unduly nervy people who insist on leaving their seats well before reaching their destination stations. The fact that I am invariably the oldest person in the carriage.
  16. Who doesn't love Malthouse? Or Hird? Or Tripplechins for that matter?
  17. Well, after reading the FB posts I must conclude that he is certainly no gentleman!!!
