  1. I hate the filth even more ...
  2. ... Stephen Smith apparently still gets headaches resulting from another assault.
  3. Quite correct. The rules as they were wouldn't have withstood a legal challenge. PS. I am a lawyer.
  4. I was there that day too. So sad. I woke up the next morning thinking it had been a nightmare. Having said that, I think we have been slaughtered in the GF by Carlton the following week had we won. It was a brutal match.
  5. I was standing in the outer of the Western Oval that day. Everyone was listening to the Hawthorn/Geelong match on trannies*. At one stage, it was either when Dunstall kicked his second goal in 2 minutes or when the siren at that match blew (can't remember which), the cheer at the Western Oval was so loud that that players stopped thinking the siren must have blown. There is also folklore that complete strangers hugged each other at the ground. It's not folklore ... quite true. The feeling now is quite different to 1987. *Transistor radios, not transexuals ...
  6. My son was coward punched. Hit a hard floor. Knocked unconscious. Chipped teeth, broken nose, face cut/swollen. Thankfully no permanent brain damage. The Gaff punch wasn't a coward punch at least. Brayshaw was facing him. The comments that Gaff could face gaol time if charged are clueless. First time offenders NEVER get gaol time.
  7. Tribunal got it right ...
  8. I suspect I'll be howled down but I would like the club to say that they are no longer pursuing him. Show loyalty/solidarity to/with the Brayshaw family. We wouldnt have got Gaff anyway.
  9. Andrew's father is a Richmond supporter. His younger brother was also a Tiger, but changed his allegiances to MFC when he was pretty young. Dad wasnt too happy about that. But he (Dad) had the last laugh! PS. We won't get Gaff.
  10. I hate him. Harvey that is.
  11. I've probably said it before (sorry, but I'm a senior) but one of his real weapons is his ability to kick with both feet. So he doesn't have to 'wheel around' on his preferred if the best/first option is to quickly kick with the non-preferred. It amazes me how many players can't kick with both feet. Jack Viney would be so much better if he could kick with his right foot. Same with Dom Tyson. Don't start me on Robbie Flower ...
  12. Well written/thought out post Dee93. Not sure I agree though. WC is the perfect team for Gaff. Not sure that he'd be as good at MFC. Also he's a few years older than Hogan.
  13. Hey, what about Jimmy T?
  14. Terrible performance by Socceroos ...
  15. It is 100% correct. I used to go to the footy (Melbourne matches) with Andrew, his mother and younger brother. All Demons! Father was (and is still presumably) a Tigers supporter. His younger brother used to be a Tigers supporter too, but changed to Demons. I bet he regrets that !!!!
  16. I've always been envious of other sides who bring in new players who seem to slot in straight away. I can't remember offhand a Melbourne player like that ... until now. He looks like he belongs !!! I realise that young players often lack consistency, and CS will no doubt have his good and bad games. But he looks a ripper !!!
  17. Bomber Thompson ... James Hird ... no wonder everyone loves Essendon !!! hahahahahaha
  18. Bit of name dropping in this thread!! Healing Force released that absolute classic "Golden Miles". Mal Logan (keyboards) is a good mate of mine. (Also a long time Tigers' supporter: he's still in seventh heaven!!)
