nice post regarding the first comment, I actually dont think JW has shown the glimpses of truely great play that Sylvia or Jurrah have. Sylvia has torn entire games apart (and then gone missing for weeks on end), Jurrah has been the match winner by kicking bags when no one else has, but Watts has never really had one of those games (or even a break out game as a former #1 pick). His best game to date IMO was probably against richmond last year where he did some good things and kicked some nice goals (one gifted from a free kick that wasnt there). That game was a good game, but i wouldnt say ithe dominated it off his own boot like Jurrah and Sylvia have. it is funny then that so many of us do put Jurrah in the enigmatic basket and yet proclaim Jack Watts in the "lock for future gun" catogory. I guess that all of the emotional investment into Watts being a number 1 pick might have somthing to do with it!!

I dont post at Bigfooty, but Biffinator's match previews are worth the visit! No suprise that he's leading the charge for that one!

Elite players in the comp are Judd, Abblett, Goodes, Swan etc I dont like when people break down elite into sub catogories

theyre not learing a new sport mate, yes they will take time to learn some finer points of the game plan, but the really good players will play. especially In the forward line for someone like jurrah where the abridged version of the game plan is likley to be tackle, chase, get front and center to clark and kick goals?!

I wouldnt go out of my way to tell brent to tone down his onfield voice or his passion, i think that we'd like to see the same #22 as we had last year

An aspect of the young Captains and young LG could be to "lock them in" for the long haul, ie get them to fully commit to the club so that contracts become a formality? perhaps they thought Jamar, frawleyand Co could do with an extra pat on the back so they didnt shop their next contracts around?

I like the fact that we've given "Generation D" the reigns, but i would have thought there could be room for one of Beamer, Flash, Green or Rivers? Surely its a slap in the face to the older group who have stuck by the club through a lean period? Especially for Green & Davey who have rejected outside offers to stick by the club

Just playing devils advocate here.. We picked Neeld from a pretty large group of coaches. Is it too much to ask for the complete package?? Granted if we can only have a coach that is good with the media OR a coach who gets on fields results, then i'll choose onfield results, but i dont think Savorydee's comments are out of line or in need of growing up

i think you're spot on WJ, no doubt the fact that we are make an effort to keep so upto date on all aspects of the club means that they would need some real hto off the press, ground breaking news to impress us these days!?
