I actually think he's ok, but the blazers and the rest of the romantic navel gazing could have waited until we had won a few games!
-
Another similarity to Hardwicks tigers is that our only avenue to goal is Mitch Clark (our version of JR8)

Interesting thoughts but i disagree. I think our on field performace has alot to do with players overthinking the game - spending too much time thinking about where they should run or kick the ball according to Neelds game plan, rather than backing their own ability and lnstincts . I hate the term "game plan", and ever since Need has come in the club has used it to death - i fear that alot of the side have been bamboozled/overwelmed by all of the new structures and plans and have forgot that they are listed at an AFL club becasue they are good footy players - they've lost the confidence in their own instincts and abilities to just get out there and play footy! The extent of the game plan under dean bailey was "take the game on" (as far as i could tell), but maybe it wasnt such a bad mantra for the blokes.

over the weekend i also went to the tigers swans game and agree with the points made in the OP Sydney hare not unstoppable, but we'll need to play alot better than we did on friday night. What Richmond were able to do (which we might struggle with) is get the ball in the hands of their midfielders from kick in's with ease

for what its worth all dockers members that i know are convinced Schwab and Connelly are the root of all evil
-
the thing that makes it hard to take is that for many of us we had hoped bailey was the entire issue. Once we appointed a new coach we were all hoping we'd transform into a great side overnight. Looks like we need to be patient for another season or two yet, and thats only to be in the mix for finals!

now now for what its worth i wouldnt be dropping him this week. Sylvia was probably the biggest let down
-
Carey Park Panthers would welcome him back with open arms.

all good. I was being sarcastic about your mate #7 too..
-
Perhaps being on a boozy interstate trip blurred my perception on the game!
-
it was good mate. I took the guys advice and sat up the top of olympic stand and thought we had a great veiw. Result was disapointing but we also watched the Eagles get belted on Saturday night which was a posative (and shuit my mates up!) Davey looked good with the ball in his hands and ran hard all night i thought. Your mate Bennell looked better once played up forward too.

I think alot of the richmond ferals get smashed at the cricketers/royal before hand which could ease the pain slightly

Cant believe people are calling for Davey to be dropped?! He didnt play badly at all IMO

Classic! Nothing like some good banter i reckon, but theres a line
-
I think our list is talented, but many of the young guys aren't driven to succeed. Hopefully the new regime helps this. Surely the guys will get sick of loosing and do something about it.
-
I enjoy a bit of banter with the other teams fans but there's a line
-
Yeah its a worry when Neeld says that he couldnt fault the effort yet we still loose by 40 points.
-
At Collingwood guys like Ben Reid, Dawes and Buckley have had to wait until they were a bit older to get regular games. If we delist every 22-24 year old who isnt Chris Judd yet we're not doing ourselves any favours. I dont think Neeld and his team will delist too many from the squad at years end. We might see some older guys retire or go to other clubs, but the reality is that guys like Morton, Benell, Bail, even Jetta are all still 'young'. Unless Neeld really doesnt like what he sees he'll hold onto them.

not a bad guess mate. I'd flip a coin between which of Bartram, Bennell, Jetta, Strauss, Tynan and Tapscott will be holding down back pocket gigs in 3 years time
-
yes he does. He has dodgy hammys!!

Good stuff, i bought another 5 raffle tickets in a raffle i never seem to be able to win. Every time they call me i cave.

I agree, i'll be interesting to see how Bennell goes if he gets picked this week. From the outsdie it seems that at Casey he has the confidence (and time, due to the step down in pace) to run and carry the ball out of defence. When he plays AFL it seems that he puts far more emphasis on being accountable to his direct oponent, often to the detrement of his attacking game and possesion count. might just need the coach to let him off the leash and tell him to focus on attack rather than tagging

i think i'd lay out some chash on the line bet so that i have something to cheer about!
