  1. rpfc, please elaborate on the so called fruit that you are able to see?
  2. when i read this all i just felt deja vu. It was like a paraphrased version of the more sedate / level headed posts on the topic from demonland!
  3. Agreed. Why not take it even further?! The coaching staff and playing group should go on a midweek bender together, have a laugh and bond over some beers. Then Neeld should bring all the player in and just be frank, "listen, you fellas think you know better, so i'll give you one week to play however the hell you want to". They'll still get pantsed and then they might finally wake up to themselves, show a bit of dicipline and play to the game plan?!
  4. Out: Interest in AFL season 2012 In: Interest in WAFL season 2012 - Carn the black ducks!

Scully looks to have made the right choice for him. I take solace from the fact that GWS head hunted the wrong man!
  6. At some point Neeld needs to let the guys play to their strengths? If not then we will loose against GWS and GCS and the players will loose the the little self belief they have left.
  7. lowly tigers? not sure which year your reffering to?
  8. you've had a pub lunch?!
  9. i liked the line last week too
  10. I hate travis cloke, hope this is a decoy as mentioned above
  11. yeah and they've named them in the right positions for a change!
  12. The MFC website is having a comp asking for the words on the round 9 banner. theres alot of good wordsmiths on this site so i reckon there could be some smart suggestions entered from here. Round 9 is against Carlton...so what about something like? LOOK OUT BLUES THE DEES ARE HERE TO PLAY BRUISE FREE FOOTBALL WAS NOT A SMART THING TO SAY
  13. I remember when Freo enlisted Rick Charlsworth to Freo's coaching group. Nothing came of it at the time, however i reckon he would have been ahead of his time suggesting bringing a defensive press into AFL.
  14. For me the modern game refers to the way AFL has been played since roughtly 2000's onwards. Since umpires rules have put an end wrestling in a marking contest, and been hot on push in the back Since full forwards/backs & ruckmen have had to have an increased athletic ability and not be just tall and strong
  15. As strange as it sounds we have the best Morton!
  16. Jurrah is the only potential superstar on our list IMO. We have plenty more that could become very very good but Jurrah can do things others cant, and is the only one that i could imagine otther teams supporters wishing they had in the next 3-5 years
  17. Davey?!! Aaron's career is 100x better than Alwyns
  18. I actually think he's ok, but the blazers and the rest of the romantic navel gazing could have waited until we had won a few games!
  19. Another similarity to Hardwicks tigers is that our only avenue to goal is Mitch Clark (our version of JR8)
  20. Interesting thoughts but i disagree. I think our on field performace has alot to do with players overthinking the game - spending too much time thinking about where they should run or kick the ball according to Neelds game plan, rather than backing their own ability and lnstincts . I hate the term "game plan", and ever since Need has come in the club has used it to death - i fear that alot of the side have been bamboozled/overwelmed by all of the new structures and plans and have forgot that they are listed at an AFL club becasue they are good footy players - they've lost the confidence in their own instincts and abilities to just get out there and play footy! The extent of the game plan under dean bailey was "take the game on" (as far as i could tell), but maybe it wasnt such a bad mantra for the blokes.
  21. over the weekend i also went to the tigers swans game and agree with the points made in the OP Sydney hare not unstoppable, but we'll need to play alot better than we did on friday night. What Richmond were able to do (which we might struggle with) is get the ball in the hands of their midfielders from kick in's with ease
  22. for what its worth all dockers members that i know are convinced Schwab and Connelly are the root of all evil
  23. the thing that makes it hard to take is that for many of us we had hoped bailey was the entire issue. Once we appointed a new coach we were all hoping we'd transform into a great side overnight. Looks like we need to be patient for another season or two yet, and thats only to be in the mix for finals!
