  1. In no way did Richmond run us off our feet. You may know Morton better than the average supporter. He has been dropped all of what? Once? Was he actually dropped this week because he didnt play at Casey? To say he has disappeared from the scene is way over the top. He was injured early in the season and when fit, returned straight away. He got dropped because his defensive work is so lacking. Going to be a damn fine player IMO, but needs to work more. As for Martin. Not sure anyone can say much at all yet, there is potential but to say he is being turned into a utility? That's a bit off the mark at this stage as he really isn't anything yet. I thought he looked most comfortable up back a couple of years ago. There is a lot of upside with Steph and look forward to seeing him getting fit next year as this year has been a write off for him.
  2. All-Australian!!!!
  3. Wow!! I thought Scully was excepetional today. Especially his last quarter. Wow??!
  4. All positives for me with Scully & Watts being so busy in the last quarter. Yep Watts needs to 'grab' a few more, but he's no Jane. Being there when the game was on the line, nice stuff & it will all get even better.
  5. Miller is a chance. 10 goals will see the FD at least think of replacing PJ with Miller. Could be useful in a game against Hawthorn with a bit more grunt & presence. Hawks rucks aren't much. Heard about Chip having some ankle trouble, hopefully comes up ok. Warnock doing everything right at Casey but no one doing anything wrong for the Dees, down back. Chip is extraordinary! Not sure if Moloney will come straight back, missed a few weeks now. Gee I miss Jack Grimes.
  6. Missing Grimes in this area don't forget. Missing him a lot Blease will add to this also next year. Anyway.... 6 - Frawley 5 - Dunn 4 - Scully 3 - Davey 2 - Green 1 - Jurrah Loved Scully & Watts impact in the last qtr.
  7. Sylvia will be there. I reckon he will have all four.
  8. No Morton or Jones. Millsy could've actually kicked another 2 or 3, he was DOMINANT and 6 alone in the 3rd. Liam Jurrah would have to show more desperation tomorrow as I can't see how any bloke is overlooked after a performance like that. Some match ups probably suited him, but 10 doesn't come around at any level so easily. I can see why now games are moved because my 2 year old is recovering in the shower from the quagmire. It's actually worse in every area but the ground itself, water & mud just sits on top of the surface everywhere. But being pretty local to the area I love that the Dees are here. I have to say seeing Sam Blease play live for the first time was something else. He was far from dominant but in & around packs he IS dominant. His pace is just unbelievable and it was something to watch seeing him leave a pack of 10 players floundering. Clean!! If he does everything right, there is a midfield spot waiting for this kid in any team. Lock him in for Round 1 next year if all goes well and if he doesn't happen to snag one in Round 22.
  9. Off to Casey today. Hopefully see some great form from Tap, Blease & Bater. Interesting to see if Millsy is there or not. Would be sad to go in without The Big Rush tomorrow.
  10. Any truth here?
  11. It's there at Demons TV, titled Story of an Emblem.
  12. Yeah - an email from Adrian to Andrew.
  13. A bit rich for Dermie to comment about our Emblem being busy, have you ever heard him try to explain a point he makes? That is 'busy'! Well, each to their own, even within the Demon fraternity. But I love it, just love it and the story behind it especially after the interactive video on the website. Just love, love that poem. It encapsulates everything about the Emblem and in my case had the hairs on the back of the neck rising. A suggestion to all - play the poem, then play the boys belting out the song after the Brissy game. If that doesn't get the red & blue blood pumping, nothing ever will.
  14. Good point JC. For every Watts there is a Vickery, for every Riewoldt there is a Chip Frawley!! Go Chipper!!
  15. Probably said it best here. Would suggest the majority would admit to the same. We cannot play all of Junior, Moloney, McKenzie & Jones and I will keep saying this. Jones is still great value to the team but to say he has been 'outstanding' is just not right, he has been good. If I were Jones I would be wanting Junior to retire at the end of this year. A bit surprised really that Moloney was not bought back through Casey as have JT & Junior amongst others, maybe the cork is well and his fitness is still ok & of course is pretty important. The Morton omission IMO was another obvious choice. Still needs to learn a bit. At the end of the day we bring back Beamer and Trengove. I'm pretty happy with that. I hope we win on Sunday, what a week it has been.
  16. Now I'm confused and losing sight of what is most important over the next month, the Dees making finals or bedding Jen Hawkins! Ah bugger it, she is great but, GO DEMONS!
  17. 1987 was such a great great time. It's hard to see such a repeat of this but the dream is there. There are many things that could turn easily in our favour if we win this week, it really is quite open.
  18. Was mentioned somewhere, can't remember right now but about how everyone scoffed at Ron Barassi going to Ireland to get players. How has that worked out for the MFC with the single example of Jim? A superstar of a player for what he achieved and where he had come from. A superstar of a president who started this club on a path out of the wilderness. Illness has not stopped him, his love and passion for the club is so infectious. It is great that the Jim Stynes story originated from one club icon such as RDB and continues through until this day and hopefully up to and after our next premiership. There are many great Demon names where the title 'greatest Demon of all time' would be appropriate. But in my life time alone (35) this title belongs to Jim.
  19. Hair on the back of the neck stuff. Really stirs the emotions. God I hope we win this week, would top of a fantastic week for this great club!
  20. I'm not sure anyone is in a 'flap' as such Rhino. Just a simple serving of humble pie from Bean Dailey and a bit of fun from some Demons who have had to read articles along these lines far too often. I certainly didn't go home and tell my wife and kids "hey you should read this bullsh!t article from some journo in 2008',but I enjoyed the post here by Bean.
  21. Yeah, fantastic stuff dandeeman. Good to see the club make use of so many great resources we have - the supporters!
  22. A fair point. Don't think we will see a team that consists of all of Moloney, Jones, McKenzie & McDonald too often into the future.
  23. Love it!
  24. As in another post hope to see plenty of this on the Footy Show tonight!
  25. I've a feeling that it will be Morton. IN - Trengove, Moloney OUT - PJ, Morton
