POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
Hope it is not just a โrule of the weekโ thing, and continues: finally umpires took notice of the holding of Maximus in ruck and marking contests. They however did miss, or chose to ignore, Tracc repeatedly being held out of the centre square contests. It was blatantly obvious from the stands.

CASEY: Rd 09 vs Sandringham
I hadn't realised that kick ins were counted as possessions .... need an asterisk*

PREGAME: Rd 12 vs Fremantle
I heard someone in the crowd at the game also saying Windsor needs a rest. Do you mean a Bex, a cuppa tea and a good lie down? If what is meant is playing at Casey that is a nonsense. A week off doing tapestry? Will not happen. If Petty is out injured - IMO BBB is cooked, Jeffo is too raw though just starting to hit his straps at the lower level, Turner still injured (again), Shack just non competitive, FullArton who knows what, where, why - no good answer for another tall forward option. How did Verrell go today?

CASEY: Rd 09 vs Sandringham
I may sound like a heretic, but IMO Roughead was a bigger team contributor than Buddy.

NON-MFC: Round 11
2 observations from Scott's "press conference" (only watched the first half; couldn't bear or hear any more) 1/ what a miserable sod he is, "we played badly" not "GW$ played well" etc etc. Same every week. 2/ what a tight a*sed organisation is the AFL. Any decent professionally run organisation would shell out a few bucks for a couple of roaming microphones and only allow questions through these microphones. Instead we may hear a bit of a mumble from the background and the answer refers to something that we haven't heard. It has annoyed me for decades. First I thought it may be the MFC being tight but it seems to be throughout the competition. (Same applies to the score review amateur hour technology - shameful stuff Dill)

NON-MFC: Round 11
Of course it isn't. Jackson is one unique player and cannot be easily replaced. Who was on the market at the time we should have gone for, and got???

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
Do you serious think that fans donโt like Hunter and Billings and may not take to McAdam because they are recycled? Do you mean like May Lever Langdon BBB? Certainly it would seem a good tactic to try to isolate #31 deep forward by getting other players to lead fast and wide. He is fast and a good mark. Has it been tried?

NON-MFC: Round 11
Maybe Hodge can be recruited as a tactical consultant to Goody??

Touchรฉ Frankly it doesn't generate enough if any revenue for the AFL execs to care at all.

NON-MFC: Round 11
Who in the world does the AFL scheduling? Madness. 2020 on a Friday night! I certainly won't be watching and I suspect only a few diehards, plus Collingwood fanatics and Fremantle diaspora will see it through. I hope the ratings are a record low for a game involving Collingwood.

Time to Blood Jeffo
Well, now, I hope he isn't.

Time to Blood Jeffo
As I recall JVR was named in the 25 a couple of times late 2022; some were calling for him to debut but the FD wisely held him back. And he went on to have an really excellent debut year 2023.

The Narrm Curse
It certainly does seem to coincide with the time of season. Maybe we should be narm in the preseason only, if at all

Time to Blood Jeffo
I must agree - Fullarton was recruited as a mature, game ready tall forward who can ruck a bit. We have desperately needed both this season but havenโt given him a look in. Buyers regret? If he doesnโt get picked when we are as desperate as we are he will be a totally wasted trade.

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
Thanks DD - agree with most of that summation Verrall is a second year tall ruck - Max I don't think (yes, also injured) a go for 3 years or so and he has gone OK. Throwing him to the wolves is not necessarily a great idea (though I did think a bench role against an "easy beat" like WCE ๐ฎ may have been worth a try)

Our Best Kick Inside 50
Did they define the best kick inside 50? Was it the best kick from inside 50 or the best kick into inside 50? I would probably agree ANB into but would bank Frittata from inside 50

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
Kneejerk, or remove the knee? I guess they do that because they, the professionals, feel that "coming back through Casey" does not prepare them properly. defenders surely cannot just leave their opponent or position in the defensive unit, to do a bit of ruck work. So who, other than Max, in your plan, will relieve Max? You won't go to the footy because Billings is playing? Sorry WERRIDEE, but what sort of true supporter of our beloved footy club and team doesn't attend because a particular player is selected? Are you serious?

Jake Lever Out for a Month
So, question. If every player carrying an injury is rested, and every player returning from injury comes via Casey, then we will need to play a 10 man side. T McD I believe has been quoted as saying he will not be played forward as his foot / ankle limitations prevents him from running on a lead or flying for a mark. Yes, if that is the case maybe he shouldn't be playing, but as above who can we play in his place? Second year in a row we have scored a succession of unrelated injuries to most of our tall forward options and many of our tall backs. Someone has to run out onto the field for us. Who?
