2015 Player Review - # 26 Christian Petracca

WJ - a perfect incontrovertible summation. I love reading his blogs about his rehab. Sounds like one mentally tough dude. So looking forward to seeing him in 2016. -
2015 Player Review - # 25 Tom McDonald
monoccular replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree. A great start, with much improved decision making and disposal though as the team as a whole declined / fatigued mentally as defeat piled upon defeat, he too sagged for a while. Just a thought - chicken or egg: do teams that win regularly get less mentally and physically fatigued, or do less mentally and physically fatigued teams win more? My guess is a bit of both. It must be demoralizing not expecting to win. It is a cycle that must somehow be broken, very soon. -
Yeah......"kick it long. Big Bob #16 will mark and goal" :-) Reminiscing just isn't what it used to be. ...or, v Saints, 20 seconds to go. :-(((

AFL probe leak of sensitive Bulldogs info to Crows
monoccular replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
out of dodge or dogde?Surely a beat up If the doggie bro was playing he would have heard the full game plan - he wasn't so maybe he said something generic such as watch Murphy, or Bontemp runs through the middle etc. Like something that blind Freddie knows anyway. I guess the "integrity department" (just joking) may be just looking for something to do to try to just stiff their pathetic existence. -
dazzle - I didn't realise that anyone had to have our permission to tour anywhere, even drug laboratories. As Django pointed out above, we have played our cards close to our chest sing the professionals took over, so who here really knows who we are after or what we are offering?

The MRP set their precedent last week for kicking or fending off with the feet.......until some poor bugger gets his leg broken, then in their typical reactionary manner they will come down hard (depending of course on who is the assailant and for whom they play and what time in the season it occurs) stating that fending off with the feet in unacceptable and un-Australian and deserves the harshest penalty.

Well done. I had thought that he may be held back until 2016, but injuries (and poor performances) prevailed so he got his debut early...and didn't let us or himself down. Looking forward to bigger things for a long time ahead. GO DEES

A hugely disappointing year for Dom.....hopefully he can return from the break injury free and fired up to regain his lofty 2014 standards.

Shhhhh We may be fined heavily again for another of Chris' jokes. -
2015 Player Review - 13 Jordie McKenzie

Well done Jordie. If every player on our list worked as hard and got the last drop out of their ability as you have done, we would be in a far far better place. At least you can retire / move on without any regrets that you could have done more, unlike so many others may have. -
As with Salem, (and Pedersen of that matter) I think many may underestimate the impact to the team of his long term injury. Hope he gets back better than ever.

Sideney gawn.

What a disgracefully over umpired game. Pathetic.

Norf are getting all the 50/50s OMG I hate seeing the crosses to the Norf (and Cats) box when those twin prjcks get a free against their team. Whinging bastards.

Condemned by the demonland "he is a gun" label. But seriously, was he really rated so highly in his APS year? Will trust our new recruiting and development team to make a good call.

And of course we have seen so much of him on field as to be able to make either of those calls right now?? -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
monoccular replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
Big difference: Jeff wasn't under threat of a very long suspension by WADA. To take a risk on a player with that potential down (to zero) side he would have to have as an upside the potential to be a top 10 MFC regular, not a fringe / depth player. -
OMG he sounds like one tough and fully committed guy. So glad to have him on our list. Just can't wait to see him up and firing, with Gus, Jessie, Jack V, Christian S and the rest of our committed young brigade. What a breath of fresh air.

Will be? Is already in under a season. Impressive contestant and reads the play so well. A couple of times he ran hard off HB through the corridor and intelligently kicked ahead of the running Garlett for goals ?v Cats and Pies? This showed intelligence and maturity that we have seen all too little of at our club for a long time Sure he petered out a bit towards the end of the season - entirely expected, and made worse by the 'flu that ran through the club over the final month or so. -
I searched in vain to find his 'highlights reel'. All I could find was a 3 goal haul in a GWS ADL game which didn't show a lot. Anyone have a link?
-
He has had a very disappointing year. If injured then there could be an explanation but if it is his long term calf problem then he may never be able to offer more. In which case I doubt if he would be offered a contract extension. As one poster earlier said, I would actually prefer to develop Fitzy who is surprisingly athletic for one so tall. (I would hope that one tunnel ball brain fade would not mark his papers.)

So. What is new? This deal has always been very piscatorial. If Frankenstein doesn't play again then Tippett would become king pin up there and may want to stay. Unless the entire no DH policy has collapsed since Roos left and BF was picked up on that ridiculous deal, in which case could there be a mass exodus?
-
One can but hope - IF he makes an full recovery and regains his speed then he could be a very valuable recruit.
