  1. OMG prancing pony picks another deliberate from a miskick under pressure. They really do not understand footy. Thanks Gil for another blight on our once enjoyable game.
  2. In the 8 right now but meaningless unless we kick the Dogs.
  3. Two HTB against the Crows from high tackles. Poor umpiring but Cats too good
  4. Cats look home now. If we can beat the Doggies we will be in the 8.
  5. Another ridiculous deliberate OOB from a fumble this time against Cats They just do not understand the game
  6. Seeing him, in his first few games, just nail those handballs often under intense pressure, just takes my breath away at times. Just awesome.
  7. I must say I don't really understand the "modern game": why won't anyone "man up" Motlop? Some sort of zone I suppose.
  8. I am sure he will when he is the best option for a role. Interesting - has he been recalled to attend the Dear Leader's party in Pyongyang?
  9. Why wasn't that handball OOB not called deliberate? Not that I agree with the general interpretation but that was as bad (or worse) as the earlier one
  10. It was a Selwood style high tackle.
  11. Walker a bit stiff. HTB when taken around the neck.
  12. I wore #31 on my Dees jumper (just the one, none of this clash strip or away strip cr@p) as a kid. Was devestated when he left for the Cheetahs but he remains my absolute favorite Dees player of all time. Leadership qualities never repeated by anyone anywhere.
  13. OMG the deliberate OOB rule is just one more opportunity for the prancing ponies aka maggots to assert themselves on the game. Absolutely stuffing up the game, as it is being interpreted.
  14. What do you mean, picks him up? I thought that was an outdated concept for dinosaurs like myself. By the way I think it is a great idea but do the coaching staff / match committee?
  15. ^ Injury hasn't helped - others have had, and have seized the opportunity to overtake him. I really hope he can take up the challenge, as he will have to be a really good player to make from here.
  16. But is that necessarily bad - and I am sure though he hasn't been at the club, the AFL is still a fairly incestuous group and he will know exactly what is going on at the Dees.
  17. JKH is really, for reasons not entirely in his control, slipping way behind the pack. It will be interesting if he has the ability and the application to get back up into top 30.
  18. So some poor bugger is going to sit on the bench all day without a run?? Great for player development! And pretty useless for Grand Finals.
  19. This is indeed a vital game, an opportunity for the team to regain some trust from the supporters and members, who they have let down time and time again over the past few years. Just do it, Demons. Please.
  20. I was waiting for the "he is a dud" brigade to come rushing out....but I can only see three totally negative and a couple of ambivalent posts. To me he is a must, at least until the Kings, or one of them, get up to pace. Well done Spencil.
  21. Thanks Good to VDB and JKH back in training. VDB fully fit can be a tough guy for opposition match up planning JKH must really PHFO and prove something if he is to remain on the list past his contract, which I think is this year. I still like him but others have passed him whilst he has stagnated.
  22. I sent him a text but could stay on air to see whether he read it - far too many close ups of the guy with the ball, especially if a mark or free, or uncontested, looks Ng around but we cannot see anything at all of what is going on off the ball, down the ground, maneuvering and jostling. Just a look at some guy's face.
  23. 5 games....will make mistakes....learning the caper at top level. Could be another brilliant pick up from NEAFL like VDB, who has been hit by injury this year but whose hard grunt work was valuable last year.
  24. A good summation of our season so far. We are a better team than EssUndone, and probably than St Kilda - but we didn't / weren't allowed to / weren't prepared to play better than them on the day. Norf as you say are far more mature and seasoned and used to playing together as a team, yet we still nearly pipped them. This week v Dogs will be a great indicator of where we are physically, skill levels, team work and perhaps most importantly, mentally....really looking forward to it.
