Frankly I don't give a stuff about who is out from the opposition - it has been taken as a "good omen" far too often over the past decades, with inevitable painful results. I only care about our guys beating whomever the opposition put out there.
-
Why do you doubt? It is the AFL after all.
-
and our best 22 will vary depending on opposition and venues - it is never a static arrangement interesting thought, though pretty unlikely I would imagine
-
Option 1 - stats don't reflect everything Option 2 - FD hiding something we and our opponents don't know Option 3 - ?

And only pay holding the ball if the tackle is correct*: penalize the tackler who jumps on the back of the guy who had the guts to get the ball in the first place and has been ridden into the ground. *such as the Ride of the Valkyries on Gablett on Saturday.

Personally given Garland's total brain fade at the start, I would like him to match up on some Sandringham player next week. Can't trust him any more

Who is likely to move into Goodwin's seat at years end?
monoccular replied to SPC98's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well good luck to him and too bad for us. So glad he is going well. -
He also shows very contagious enthusiasm.

OMG we really do have a great bunch of young guys coming through, together, right now. That is what great teams are made of. Well done.
-
I wonder what those who want Headless chook back next week make of that? Who would he replace?
-
He braced as Prestia ran into him - much like the Viney one a couple of years ago v Adelaide, in which he was given 3 weeks, then cleared on review. A player must be allowed to hold his ground.

Me too. Maybe we missed the irony? -
You attribute far too much integrity, and logic, to the AFL. More likely is that they will say - we had better let him have another go for in a Bulldogs game just to see if it is true.

Colin Sylvia maybe ? But being serious, does anyone know what James McDonald is doing and what are his aspirations? -
Quite the opposite approach to Joel Selwood - and will be far more damaging, and not reliant on cheap frees. And will get better with experience and conditioning - scary stuff!

My immediate thought at the time too. No pressure, just an absolutely awful handball

$55.87 per gram x 111 kgm = $6.2 million About right?

I wish I was tech savvy enough to add Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries over this clip. Maybe someone clever enough can do it. I am playing it now in he background as I rewatch this amazing chase over and over again. We could play it on the ground audio whenever Wagner gives chase - would haunt the opposition, and far better than that pathetic "music" played after every GCS goal up there. (I guess they need something fake to try to create an atmosphere for their faux team).

Question for those at the game: how did Jake Spencer go? Anywhere close to be at least able to fill in for The Great Gawnius Maximus should the need arise?
-
Both in a way sacrificed their attacking games for the team - well done both.

Good to rest him for half a quarter when the game was over....I also thought it was an impact high chest / neck and queried the concussion diagnosis. H (H for Headless chook) may well run out of defence but what does he do with it? Long bomb.....would please those in the MCC who love to shout out "kick it long", and maybe the opposition defenders, but not Hogan I am sure. Hunt has been running it out and (generally) delivering with purpose, as has Wagner. Salem, yes, if he is ready and can be fitted in. H not for me.

The cesspit is barely deep enough to find two x 9 maggots who have half an idea on how to umpire - imagine how deep they old dig to double that? umpires should aim to go through the entire game unnoticed
-
Frankly if we cannot win "must" games like EssUndone, then we don't deserve to play finals. Not quite ready this year, unless we suddenly change and get some consistency, winning three or four on the trot more than once. Greatly improved but without consistency then NQR, yet.

Was Viney concussed, or hit more high on the chest wall?
