  1. Like it did Saturday for Garlett you me an? Do you mean they will need to crumb Dawes' dropped marks? A suggestion I think from the Casey thread of Spencer and Gawn rotation deep forward ie goalsquare would also stretch them and force one tall defender to stay back would do similar things, and allow ruck dominance throughout the game
  2. Good to see Spencer named in the better players, and Hulett too. A question for KC (and other regular Casey observers) - how would you say Hulett is progressing as compared to Weideman? Who do you see as closer to a game for the Dees? Are they competing for the same position? Are either like kelt to get a few games this year?
  3. Sounds good Looking forward to the summation by those who were there, and their thoughts on who may have earned a promotion.
  4. I will second that. How is the time going?
  5. And how is the spencil going overall? 4th game is it? Any closer to AFL?o
  6. Who else? Dawes won't ruck The momentum change free to debutant in front, even though he missed, was appalling. He drove head down into the tackler, and we keep getting told this will not be paid. A disgrace. He didn't stage, he just caused the high contact. "Play on"!!
  7. It was our only Friday night game that year, and one of few we get. I seem to remember DumbItriou saying something like "we give them a Friday night and nobody goes. Don't deserve any more". It was the opening of the Bejing Olympics FFS. 8/8/08
  8. Has JKH done much? - has had a long layoff.
  9. Yes and yes, they sure should, but won't I read that Pedersen was sick with pneumonia which if true would see him out for quite a few weeks. Pity, because he offers so much more - can mark, can ruck, will ruck.
  10. It was a very soft report, but knowing the corruption of the MRP he could well be offered 2 down to 1 - totally unjustified I know, but it is the MRP :-( One of those 'pivotal moments' IMO.
  11. Hunt!!! You must be kidding, surely. VDB first game back after a long lay off was OK Harmes is out of form - remind me, does Casey play this week or is there another bloody bye?
  12. Given that he hadn't played for over 2Y, and it was in horrible conditions against a strong team, I thought that he acquitted himself admirably. 19 disposals - can surely get back into the pace of things over the next few weeks. Well done Jack and welcome back.
  13. And maybe we didn't learn and do it more ourselves. Probably were concerned that there may still have been a kicking in danger rule, when it clearly has been thrown out secretly by Gil.
  14. Certainly some real positives from this game Exactly - I have been a critic but he honestly competed well - it was his first senior game for ages. Hopefully will do better against his old club next week. Yet with not many marks up forward this should have been his sort of day
  15. You bitter individual, picket. He has a long way to go, but was far from our worst today. Under seige v Hawks did reasonably well. Yes he still has a lot to learn but will learn faster playing AFL than VFL. That said he may be due for a spell at Casey. PS: not (well actually yes) wanting to be a total pedant, but a light year is a measure of distance not of time, FYI.
  16. 6 Vince 5 Tyson 4 Jetta 3 Jones 2 Watts 1 Wagner PS from TV, not there
  17. His marking (not) was predictable but almost excusable in these conditions. Overall he had a good game. And a positive - what a great idea to play Frost in defence. I wonder why nobody thought of that before. Brilliant one out of the hat by Roos
  18. Much as I loathe the expression, it was a 'noble loss' if ever there was one. Not quite enough polish, but never without endeavour. Missed Viney badly in these conditions.
  19. Head down int the tackler . Crap
  20. Surely you are not seriously suggesting that the AFL would indulge in knee jerk reactions? How scurrilous of you. :-)
  21. Was that the reason you started following Melbourne, or the result of it?
  22. Freo, in fact any team coached by Ross Lyon, by a country mile Norf Brisbane = Gold Coast* *GC are so boring that they have to contrive "music" whenever they score a goal, which is, thankfully uncommon. Talk about an artificial club, an artificial team in an artificial location.
  23. What ore do you expect him to say? No, sir?
  24. I have only seen a little of this game, but OMG without being the pot calling the kettle black, we are surely far better than the Toiges. Totally inept. And they appointed Softwick for how many decades??
  25. Hopefully less controversial than the Pentagon Papers.......only folk old enough to remember regular MFC flags may have even heard of these.
