These medical report suspensions are clearly open to abuse. I can see this easily happening. Club X plays Club Z in final round. Both have secured a finals spot. Superstar from club X whacks tagger from club Z who continues playing with no ill effects. Club X doctor says tagger has suffered from delayed concussion. Superstar misses finals games and impacts club Z'd chances.

I thought 7 broadcast footy in SD even though it's normally shown on their HD channel. Is that true?

I believe at this stage Goodwin does not deserve criticism or praise. He has one hell of a culture change job to do. Don't envy him for it.

No doubt about improvement and the talent is mostly there. But there is a stage where we must accellerate the rate. Three seasons of slow improvement going on to a fourth rebuild season with a shaky start. We have to push higher this season or else we will be in danger of peaking in 7th, 8th or 9th with buggerall chance of tasting a flag. We could be in a position where we may be looking at another decade before our next window.

I think we will have truly arrived when we start beating good sides in hard fought battles in tight games. For the last year or so we have mostly won or lost too easily. Close score games last season were against deplorable sides like Essendon, Carlton and GC where we seem to do everything we can to lose. We were much better against Carlton this year but against Geelong we were terrific for a long time but still rolled over too easily when the game was there to be won. How long has it been since we beat a switched on side in a hard fought game? The Freo game has a lot of danger signs for us. If we do everything right we should win comfortably, but.....
